The post office stinks!! (Or maybe I need to plan better!)

Tuesday I placed an AVE order since I was running low...too low, but I figured I had enough juice to last until the order got here. Order placed on Tuesday, shipped out Wednesday (thanks for the fast shipping guys!), travels almost 500 miles in 24 hours to Little Rock by Thursday...I figure I'm good to see it in the mailbox today. After all, I only live about 2.5 hours from Little Rock.

Of course it's not here today. And I'm out of juice (well, AVE juice, but that's really all that matters, isn't it?) I check tracking and it arrived in LR Thursday but was PROCESSED over 24 hours later and has yet to arrive. I'm sure it'll be here on Saturday, but come on...You mean to tell me that you can get the package 500 miles in 24 hours but another 180 miles takes 2 days? Sheesh.

Eat it, USPS.

We soooo agree with this, Christy is emphatically shaking her head to this statement. We will upgrade our mailing options when we get our new website done... a task still a few months away...still.

Yeah, USPS has been screwing everybody lately. My AVE orders have always arrived promptly, but there are a few vendors that I buy from regularly that if I get anything shipped Priority it takes twice as long as 1st Class or more . . . just got a Priority package today that took two weeks to get here, while the 1st Class order from the same location that shipped the same day (and passed through the same sort facilities) arrived in 3 days. Heck, the tracking even went a week and a half between updates


*that statement is not a criticism of any vendor, only of USPS. All the vendors I buy from, including AVE, execute their orders expediently and are a pleasure to buy from

Killjoy1, that is unreal.

I sent a package from Arkansas to Tallahassee, FL a few weeks ago, which is 850 miles from where I live. I sent it first class on a Saturday to save on money, expected it to arrive a week or so later, and it arrived to the recipient on Monday. Blew my mind. And I can't get something from Texas to Arkansas in less than 4 days?

But all is well, AVE order arrived today.
