throat hit

hey everyone, and thanks for all your help thus far..... Im using a joy ego with a boge standard cartomizer. Im getting good vapor but not much of throat hit. im useing 60% pg 50% vg and 8mg nicotine. Im thinking im not getting the good hit due to the lower nicotine levels. Is this true in your opinion? I do get a good th once in a while but it is just not consistently good. Any advice you could give me? thanks a lot

If you're not getting your desired TH from your current setup, you may consider the following:

1) Your Wattage needs to be increased. Wattage is the power (heat) generated by your PV and the formula is Wattage = Voltage (of your battery) squared divided by Resistance (of your atty). eGo batteries are ~ 3.3v. If you are using a standard resistance atomizer (~3Ω), your Wattage reaches only 3.6 Watts, which is way too low. The recommended Wattage for cartomizers is somewhere between 4.5 and 7.5 Watts... So, first of all, get some LR cartomizers. I like LR Boge (2.0Ω) or 1.7Ω Smoktech single coil cartos (called Resurrectors at CCV). Both kinds are widely available; try Crystal Clear Vaping (free shipping) or Madvape--they carry both kinds

2) Try upping your nic level a bit, maybe up to 12-15 mg/ml. That's what I'm using and I like it.

3) You may also try an ejuice with a bit higher PG content, say 80/20 PG/VG.

That said, get some LR cartomizers first. That alone may just solve your problem.

If higher wattage doesn't help and higher nicotine is not an option, you might trying liquids with menthol and/or cinnamon. Both of these flavorings are known to be effective at increasing TH.
