Would love some direction on DIY Start Up
Hi to all!
I've been on digitals for over three months now, and love it. I'm using the V-3 by PureSmoker with cartomizers and have been pretty much trouble-free. I've tried checking the site for this info, and quite frankly, I don't have a ton of time to devote to it. A friend of mine has been helping me with e-liquids that she mixed, but I'm wanting to do some on my own.
Can you buy a base mixture, and if so, from whom? Where to buy the nicotine? I've tried numerous mixtures that were ready to vape, but I really didn't care for any of them. I've got a good idea of the taste that I'm looking for, but I'm wanting to know where and what exactly I need to start mixing on my own.
As you can see, I'm really new at this, and love the vaping.
to name a few... I used Xtremevaping most of the time. Some of our elite suppliers use them as well.
Make sure you check in with the DIY forum folks... there is a ton of info on this subject.
Personally, I was a disaster at DIY and nearly sprained a lung trying it...
If you don't have much time to read, it may take a few weeks to get through the basic information in the sticky's. So it could be difficult to search through the rest of that sub-forum for the rest of the information you'll need. Obviously mixing great tasting juice is not like making cake from a box, but there are many of us on that sub who can help, but understanding the basics is very important.
The simple answer is, yes, you can buy the base components from a number of vendors. Understanding what to look for, how to use them, and how to protect yourself and others in your house are more important than the names of the vendors. Most of the folks there have a hobby of mixing. So when I read a post indicating a lack of time to read, it gives me a long pause. Couple that with the same post indicating that a specific, undefined, taste is being sought leads me to believe frustration is in your future.
I started DIY mixing with one specific taste in mind. It took me about 5 months working on it for 3-4 evenings a week until I got it. I discovered many other tastes along the way and had great fun, so I continue to mix my own. I haven't even purchased a premixed juice for well over a year because mine are always better. The time investment has paid off big for me.
Hopefully you'll join us and have a great time. Get the basics under your belt and post some taste/flavoring questions on the DIY sub and maybe we can help.
(Oh, and my blog is DIY tips and tricks.)
DIY is something you want to read up on and thoroughly understand, especially when it comes to handling nicotine. There is a subforum devoted to DIY, with alot of helpful information.
