    Default 801 battery issues (Question)

    All,

Does anyone else have the following issue?

I have an 801 setup w/2 batteries and a charger (my second charger). My batteries will not charge unless they are completely dead….

The light indicator on the charger shows green when I plug them in unless they are completely drained (blinking 5 times). When they are dead the light indicator on the charger shows red, then I get a good charge…

[To clarify: When you post in this ATE subforum, you are directing your question to a very small group of people, not to "All." Once one of us "experts" answers the question, the Q&A will be seen by all, but no one else will be able to contribute to the thread.]

It sounds to me that there may be something wrong with that charger. I'm an 801 user and the closest I've come to what you describe is the charger light never shows green for one of my recharged batteries (but only with that battery, not with other batteries in that same charger). Obviously, in my case, that's a flaky battery.

You also may want to order one or two extra batteries: to confirm that it's the charger rather than your two batts ... and it's always good to have extra batteries.
