I'm with you, Wiz. After 5 months of dripping (no cartridge at all), I've yet to lose an atomizer. Just keep them clean. I stand them battery side up every night, use a hot water bath every few days, then about once a week burn the carbon off the coil.

I hold the atomizer horizontally (on the side) and drip on the mesh only, then put a cart on with moist (not dripping wet) filler installed to soak up the dripped fluid. It seems to work just fine. Most show the drip by holding the atomizer vertically, which would surely get the juice into the battery.
on the rare occasion that i drip.... this is what i do.

Found myself doing just that also.

When I went to work today, my original DSE103 atomizer (Ol' Sparky) was as cold as ice when I tried using it at my desk. Tried different batteries, the USB passthrough, nothing worked. I was ready to admit defeat and thought it was dead until I remembered this tip. Jammed a paper clip in the hole (not to hard) was all it needed. Sparked up like a champ.
