Penstyle atomisers are wonderful while they work but my experience of them is that they really don't last.
Yes, I see what you mean about the dripping. I always top off to a pool....very rarely drip on the atomizer anymore. I figure that little pool must be like a drip because it seems to work.

My problem is just the opposite though. I go through way more batts than atomizers. I think they get wet and effect the switch. Shortly after I started vaping, when i was experimenting big time with various liquids, 2 of my batts died. Yesterday, 2 more went. But those atomizers just keep going on!

I leave my carts attached 24/7. From this I have to conclude that the moisture doesn't hurt the atomizer, but it does the batt....that's what it seems it's been for me anyway. Guess ya can't win!

I have been vaping for nearly 2 months now......and I have to admit that the reliability of the things is beginning to make me consider going back to smoking. I really don't want to do that because I really love the benefits to my health...but unfortunately the cost is also a big consideration for me as well and because of the reliability it's beginning to look as if it's going to cost far more than my tobacco rollups were costing me.

    Hi Pete,

I know that economics have to be taken into account, but when you talk about cost you should consider what the cost of ill health would be to you. If you can avoid tobacco please do - it may cost a little more, but it's a price worth paying for better health imho..

Unfortunately cost is a really big issue for me at the moment because of the economic downturn the place I worked went into receivership so I am now unemployed....but I agree ...I think vaping is miles more healthy than smoking.

Please don't hate me for being a happy bunny. I can't help it.

Been vaping exclusively since first week of December. I guess since I first bought impulsively, only later learning of this forum, I didn't really have any expectations and so was even happy with the stupid super mini I bought (and to be sure, this is basically dead, and quickly at that, with poor service, a $75 learning experience). Very quickly I found I liked the vapor better than the smoke. And yes, I can tend to vape constantly, but then I could also be a bit of a chain smoker too.

Have a pen, a 901 and usb pass-thru. Two chargers for the pen. I've had 1 atomizer for each go cold, and one defective out of the box, but for the most part have had absolutely no problems. Suppliers I've used: Steve, Jane, Katy all seem reliable, trusty and pleasant. (puresmoker, smokelessshop and e-cigsales)

There is a lot more ritual associated with the vaping, but I now seem to be in my stride. I mix flavors in an old bottle (Coffee, Vanilla and a touch of Mint) and carry around everything in a little pouch. Though I can now vape in my office I still do the smoke break thing. And yeah, I'm stocked with atomizers, carts and juice.

I clean my atomizers with compressed air, which seems to be working for me. Two of my original atomizers are still going strong. I no longer get juice in my mouth or all over the place. All my batteries still seem fine.

First time in my life I've ever actually been tobacco free. Cost? Hard to tell this early, but with analogues I was paying about $40 a week.... I KNOW vaping isn't costing me that much now that I'm set up with hardware I like.

I am a DJ and i have a problem with my ecigs when i am at work the batterys all respond to sound presure levels in the venues while i am working and they all go into smart mode and shutdown, this means i am unable to smoke unless i go outside with the analog crew. Any ideas ????

Tim, you could try investing in an e-cig with a manual switch like the Janty Kissbox or the Screwdriver or David Yang's manual switch penstyle. The sensor that activates the automatic switch is sometimes too sensitive. The manual switch avoids any sensors at all, it is only activated when the button is pressed.

Nico's suggestion is the only one that's going to work. I spend a LOT of time in bars (professional head-cracker, by night) and have a fairly obnoxious stereo system in my car. SPL does, in fact, hit the pressure switch.

I have one battery that doesn't seem to respond to SPL but hitting it is like trying to suck dried concrete through a garden hose.

Get something with a manual switch and you'll be all sorted.
