I know the feeling. These things are not up to par with other tech things on the market. Like a TV, DVD player, cell phone, video game console, ect. youd like them to work as advertised but with these they are sometimes hit and miss. Not all the time, but sometimes. I stocked up on some parts and stuff, people defidently made money off of me, but my oh my has my health improved so to me its been worth it, despite the frustration.

It comes down to how much someone wants to put up with the shortcomings of a chinese device that has varying manufacturing, and sometimes very poor, standards and sometimes its not worth it for some people. Again, I understand any frustration experienced by new users, as these cost a good amount of money and we expect them to work. Things will hopefully get better in future versions of e-cigs.

Some newbies are being bombarded with suggestions that they just can't understand, and then they get disappointed when everything fails on them. I prefer to see the newbies start simple, and then work their way up at their own pace.

I agree with that. The hit and miss part of e-cigs exasperate the problem for newcomers I think, and thats a shame. I love all my e-ciggies and parts and juice, for all my love of them, if they all failed on me at once Id be reconsidering the whole idea of e-smoking with incredible dissapointment. As a newbie, I started simple with some research into how this works, then kept reading this forum and other sources to learn more about the ins and outs. My best advice for a newbie is to keep trying, this noob has gone almost 3 weeks analog free so far , but if they absolutely cant handle the mechanical problems that are almost inevitable, they cant handle e-smoking in its current state.

I got my first ecig a few weeks ago and decided I had a problem with the charger. Called the supplier, they shipped me another one (didn't ask me to send it back, just tossed it in the mail along with a couple free packs of carts) and now everything works fine.

Now having done the typical newbie thing (i want one that looks like a cigarette lol), I am over that and hoping my 510, arrives tomorrow...I can't wait!

Bet you coughed a lot with your first few cigs...everything has a learning curve. If you really want it to work, then you gotta give it a better run.

Good luck waiting for a retail location. If you don't have one by now, don't hold your breath. You don't give a location, but if you're in the US, rest assured your government is doing all they can to keep you on analogs, hence the online sales.

And all the suppliers on this forum that I have asked questions of have been very helpful and gracious.

I'm not a supplier...apparently that bs meter you use to detect dishonesty is broken.

Your so right JIm Davis, and there is a learning curve. I have been at this 1 years the end of this month (don't what day) and it takes a little work effort than going and getting a pack of cigarettes.

Getting rid of the cough and breathing better are priceless, so e-cig are worth all the extra effort.

People don't understand the learning curve as you say. Some people can't understand a DVD player, and they jump into an e-cig thinking they'll just puff and everything will come out peachy. It just don't work that way. (No offense intended to anybody.)

I guess we were just lucky. A month ago, I ordered a DSE901 kit + 2 extra batts + 1 extra atty + a USB charger + a 15ml bottle of 36mg Camel juice + 5 blank carts from e-smokeytreats. My wife and I are (were) both heavy smokers.

I opened the box, put two 901's together, dripped them, put the two spare batts into the two chargers, and haven't stopped vaping since!

I ordered more juice, 4 extra attys and a 2nd wall charger as soon as we decided that vaping was for us. I've cleaned one atty in boiling water one time (no difference really). I blow the 2 attys out every few days (from the batt end) and change the poly filling once a week or so. I put 2-3 drops on atty at the start of each vaping session - and wet the cart 3-4 times a day. We both do a LOT of vaping.

Still using the first attys (except for a test of the 4 spares) and all is well. From what I read, we have been lucky. Original attys and batts and still lots of vapor.

I do NOT recommend our method, but it does show that luck and a good supplier have something to do with the experience. I think this whole vaping thing is GREAT - and so does my wife.

Just my 901 experience. I have ordered 3 spare batts since (and more juice, of course). I've been cutting the 36mg juice with Humco glycerin (99.5% USP) from Walmart - 2/3 juice to 1/3 glycerin for 3 weeks - no ill effects yet.

As I said, maybe we just got lucky. But, as such, we are both e-cig advocates in a BIG way. Sure, they can be a pain, but so are analogs sometimes. My batts last 3 to 4 hours - and freshly charged ones are always ready in the charger, so no problem. I usually take 5 to 10 puffs, then set it down. 10-15 minutes later, I repeat. Every other cycle, I drip 3 drops directly onto atty. Every couple of hours, I put 2 drops on atty and 1 drop on the poly-fill in the cart. The vapor declines some during the last hour or so of battery life.

This method has worked for nearly 5 weeks for both me and my wife. Beats the heck out of analogs! We are thrilled at this point.

Just echoing what everyone else has said. In a nutshell, the hardware and juice should both be more consistent and reliable. There's no question about that. But any emerging technology is going to have some issues, and on the spectrum of awful to perfect, the PV is well over the line towards being perfect. They just require some small adjustments to get everything working right. You do have to futz with them some, but it's a very small price to pay for a superior "smoking" experience. Plus, as they become more popular, they'll evolve and get more reliable. Just as long as the government doesn't shut them down altogether.

Not surprisingly you are a 'supplier' so your credibility is the only thing that is dubious. These things DO NOT WORK, simple as that. Let me explain what happened when I opened the packet of 5 brand new atomizers- I opened the little white box that contains the atomizers then I took one out and screwed it into a freshly charged battery (yes the light on the battery charger went from red to green) then I attached a brand new cartridge, the first few drags were fine, nice taste in fact, better than cigarettes to me, then after the first few drags guess what no vapour, so you tell me what exactly am I doing wrong? How is this thing not working my fault exactly. It worked the first few times I tried it so obviously it isn't down to my misuse (as much as you try to tell yourself otherwise) this same thing happened with all 5 atomizers. I'm not say they don't work at all, two of them still produce vapour but only when left alone for a few hours and even then they only work for a few minutes before dying again.
And you call this a product that works.
You will say any old **** to get people to hand over their money. If anyone is reading this who has yet to buy one, my advice is to wait until they are sold in mainstream retail outlets because by then they will have to be significantly beter than a faulty prototype - which is essentially what this product now is.

Never bother me again, you waste of space.

I also received my atomisers in a pack of 5 in a white box from ruyandirect.com. I also have had problems with my SD 2 times.
I bet those dam atomisers were the cause!
Should I NOT buy from them anymore? OR was I just unlucky?

There is a learning curve, and the main thing is you have to want to cut down on anallog use. The nicotine will get into you, but you'll still want a cigarette. I've had 10 in a week, but they taste horible now. E-cigs ruined my $5.65 a day love of Marlboro's and I'm happy.

Addiction is a hard thing to change, but we are all trying and you should too. If not-
