You're spot on there Trog, I noticed that too.

Why not, Trog? It's what I did when I saw that. The answer to deceptive claims is to rebut them.
just read that...even happy bunnies wouldnt back that one up...
its just the usual preying on the uneducated...like the 20-40 cigarettes per cartridge lie-and even certain well thought of (but not by me) UK suppliers who post here are still using that dishonest line...even for minicigs...
i complained about this long ago,but i think it was taken as a criticism of this particular guys company, rather than the truth, and justifiable outrage at blatant lying to the uninformed...customer care and integrity--pah!dont make me laugh...
and i dont think its ok and can be ignored because lots of suppliers do it...thats just self perpetuating...these lies shouldnt be tolerated, and suppliers should be called on it every time...
Whats the Company called ?? lets name and shame !!! lol
this thread is a riot.![]()

Hi Trog100 I have to jump in here. I'm a newbie (only about two weeks into e-cigs) and already have four pen style batteries (two generic, two name brand) and I'm finding that the charge on each has been lasting close to a day and a half. I charged each initially for 12 hours, and I recharge them overnight (not the 3-4 hours instructed by a name brand seller.) I realize that the batteries are still relatively new and the charge-hold will deteriorate with time, but so far, I'm pretty darned happy.tell u one thing guys.. having just read a new-ish supplier telling a newbie he/she can expect a fully charged battery to last one or two days i have to agree with the thread starter..
pure bullsh-t.. plain and simple.. seller spam.. u carry the prominent link to your site at the bottom of each post..
Also, I found with the name brand, the atomizer took a while to start working, I had to "smoke" it for a while to get it "primed" or something.
For the present, I plan to stick with the pen style and add to my stock of batteries/atomizers, get a few more chargers. Here in Chicago, where a pack of Marlboro's is $7.64 at the corner store (and $8.80 at stores near the Loop) I was spending around $60.00/week for analog, so I don't mind that its a bit labor-intensive.
I can see the point that 20 and Trog and others are trying to make here. This is still new technology - or at least old technology put to a new use. We do burn through atomizers, carts, and juice much faster than we were originally led to believe. This is not a carefree consumer practice the way that analog cigs are - you just buy it, light it, and dispose of it.
We put lots of time and labour into filling carts, charging batteries, finding answers to our questions, helping each other out, keeping up to date on the latest developments, etc. We are addicts, pure and simple. We do all this as a labour of love - love of our addiction that is. We choose to do this as long as we want to stay away from tobacco.
It sounds to me like 20 either got into this for the wrong reasons or had no real commitment to leaving real cigs behind. My mini has caused me some frustration already, but I chalk it up to learning experiences and keep on trying because this has been the best thing I have encountered so far in tring to leave tobacco. I WANTED this. I spent weeks talking about it and explaining it to my partner and pestering to make room in the budget to buy an e-cig. I am dealing with pressure for the buying and wanting to stop. I still persevere because I really NEED it
. If it had happened the other way around - someone pressuring me to try this and adopt this lifestyle - I would have rebelled, much the way I think 20 is right now. It had to be my desire to switch, even the most well intended pressure from outside would have resulted in a very dismal display of obstinance
.
It is obvious 20 didn't read this forum. I think the real reason is a predetermined desire to stick with the tried and true tobacco cigarette.
I have read chunks of this forum - nowhere near all of it - and you have all been as honest as you are capable of being. I did not learn from the e-bay sellers - Trog not included here - that there were inherent drawbacks to this like failed equipment, doing everything mail-order, lost shipments, etc. I learned that here on the forum, this is where Trog is included. Trog has been very adamant that our OEM batteries are a stop gap measure at best and has devised a better alternative - I do still think Trog is a bit jaded, but he is genuine and honest
. The suppliers here have been very forthcoming about cartridge life being nowhere near a pack per cart in anything smaller than a penstyle
.
I learned an immense amount by lurking here while I seriously thought about the prospect of fogging instead of smoking. I get the feeling 20 was pushed into making this decision and made a hasty one and continues to make hasty decisions because he really does not WANT to do this yet.
I also have to say I do not see "happy bunnies" here. I see people trying to keep a positive attitude and do the best they know how with the technology they have. I also see merit in the Trog point of view - there are some definite shortcomings in our current products and that is frustrating. I personally have to top up carts even sooner than one cigarette's worth of vapor. I am also extremely grateful to have this option available and to have manufacturer's and supplier's tuning in to our input EVERY single day
.
I have immense respect for every one of the regular contributor's to this forum and have grown to see many of you as being quite like a family, squabbles and all.
