It could just be coincidence but just as I was reading this thread, my passthrough has died whilst plugged in to the APC. Had the APC for 5 days and usb for about 9. Gutted. The APC has been performing like a trooper so I`m sending the passthrough back for a replacement. My stainless 901 atomiser also gave up the ghost today aswell, it had a fantastic throat hit which doesn`t seem to ring true with my spares. If it doesnt rain, it pours!!
Needless to say, a bad e-cig day in my household!

what is this "sleep" mode that the APC goes through? I have a Janty Kissbox as well as an APC on order and want to know what I'm getting into...

can't wait for the Screwdriver to be in stock again - now THAT looks like some serious kit there!

I have a 401 and if I puff for several seconds it will cutoff and recover after 10 seconds.

But if you DONT puff, and do a straight hit for the full seven seconds - it will cutoff and wont recover after a minute or two.

If the APC does not detect a device connected to it, the unit turns itself off after 15 minutes. For some reason the APC does not recognize a passthrough battery. My guess is, that because the current draw is not constant, it fails to detect the connection.

I've had mine for over 3 weeks and It works flawlessly. It's the Best 15.00 e-cig related purchase I have made!

gto, here is the link to the links (lol) for the batteries and charger. I had found out that I could take David Yang's usb passthrough (same for Janty's) and use it on its own....no usb....no battery pack needed....as long as I kept a charged battery in that little box. Mine last a pretty long time. Has worked well for me.

    Wait a minute!

Default APC with David USB manual switch

So I figured maybe it needs a charge. So I left it to charge well the APC wouldn't stay awake. So I plugged it into the PC and still the USB cable won't charge. So I think it's the 801 USB cable itself.
It could be your particular cable - but have David's USB manual switch DSE801 for 2 months..works awesome with the APC
It's the main one I use all day long - when start in the morning I do press that sleep button just to make sure & so far 3 days easily before I have to recharge the APC..

Hmm, I'm kind of surprised that some others are having atomizer issues - I've been vaping heavy duty on the same atomizer since I received mine and it's working just as good as it ever did. No issues with the APC on my end.

My parts are all from Puresmoker as well.

No problems here either...on third day of heavy vaping with PURE SMOKER atomizers and USB. With APC from Frys.

Do you notice any decrease in battery life?
Mine is down the the last bar by the end of the day from a full charge.
The battery lasted 4 days after a full charge when I first got it.
Now I have to charge it everyday.

I need to order another one cuz I'm afraid it may break on me.
