    I lost 5 atty's in one day, I never found out why, but it did lead me to buying a multimeter and I did some tests on new and dead atty's

    Here's what I found

    Put the multi-meter on to the lowest setting of oHms (thats the upside down horseshoe symbol) mine has a 200 setting

    My Good and new atty's would read
    901's= 3.5-3.6
    801's= 3.2
    510's= 3.0

    All of the ones I killed read 0.2, but did pass a continuity test

    Not much help, but a little further info

    Sure hope ylu find and answer as I never did, (but I dont clean them with water now)

    Also my passthrough doesnt make a connection so I too have had to put a tiny piece of curled wire between the PT and atty

    Yeah my 801 is reading 3.8. I turned up the scale as told also and still the dead ones do not read anything not a zero, nothing ( just as if i wasnt touching the pos and neg to anything.....

    Well i tried the last 801 i had on my PT this morning and it seems to be working (knock on wood ) so once i tested it on my PT for a bit i moved it over to my SB and its working at 6 volts and then moved over to my V2 and its working at 5 v...So my guess has to be i had 3 bad attys ( the 4th i was using for about 3 days and it just went dead on me all of a sudden )
