I was thinking about this earlier as well.
Instead of a liquid soaking a material, submerge the heating element inside of a reservoir of fluid, then have a series of vents for inhalation without the liquid escaping.
Something similar to (don't laugh) a water bong.

I'm fairly new to this but I had an idea that may be plausible however it may be laughable... I had a thought of a pipe like grandpa used to have when working in the field that had a lid on it. The bowl would hold the liquid in a wick, the atomizer would connect to the bowl and the battery would connect to the atomizer and the tip could be part of the battery or another part, the battery and atomizer would have to be suspended in the middle of the tubes containing them so that the vapor could pass through to the user. I can't draw so can't post a schematic of the Idea but maybe somebody get's what I'm trying to convey.

I know this is an old thread, but I would like to point whomever might still be subscribed to a thread I started on a similar subject. I think it may be of interest, and we could use the informed input.

    Thanks,
