adding my atomizer / juice data for you modders
This is for those modding or trying to figure out how to make things last longer - raw data for you:
I use
901 w/all power sources. Regular batts, manual batts, and passthru.
The whole first 6 mos I used the SAME atomizer. I also only used Johnson Creek Juice. I know alot of ppl think this kills attys fast but it wasnt my experience that it KILLED it, but produced less desireable vapor for a long time.
Being a new e-smoker I thought this was how it was.
Then I got whatever juice rocky mountain vapor sells, and suddenly my 6 month aold atty had new life, as well as my new one i had started using. The 6 month one got a cleaning.
About cleaning, alot of ppl say that u can clean them and only dry over night - I have found this not to be the case.
I clean, usually warm water & shake method, then blow out as much as I can, then I let it sit for a day, then a few burns on it the next day, sit another day, then a few burns, then on the third day, put a cart on it and if I cant get vapor let it sit another day. Its better than sitting there puffing for 30 mins to bring it back.
I read the big long johnson creek thread, about how it kills attys, and Im not sure. It definately disabled mine a little, but they came back when i switchd juice. I just used exclusively JC juice and my atty lasted 6 mos - admittedly at half functionality, but being new i had no idea. Also I had no idea about cleaning and NEVER cleaned it in that six months. Never blew it out, rinsed or anything.
I was pleasantly surprised when i got rocky mountains juice and suddenly realized what you all have been experiencing, the throat hit, nice big vapor.
Too bad it took me six mos
Anyway, maybe this will help someone.

good post. I've been using my 4-5 month atty's, never cleaned, blown out once in a while. On a whim, I tried a new atty. It's giving me tons of vapor! I guess my old attys did get old, I soaked them in alcohol, and I should try them out again.
One thing I did that really speeds things up is use a voltage meter. My super attys all hit around 3.5-3.8 ohms. When they get over 4, there is a loss of vapor. I now check everything with the meter, it's easier to track my results.
I have always thought that my attys last long because I always keep them wet, and I never keep vaping them when they get hot, I let them cool off.
I've noticed one thing with the good burning attys-they use alot more juice!

I get better results off my atomizers by topping the cart off frequently. Not only they produce better flavor but less burnt taste when the wick gets stuck on the net... Took me a while, but each time I start puffing again I top out my cart...

I use my older attys on the manual USB and keep my good ( 3.6 Ohm ) attys for battery use.
The atty I use on USB now reads at 6 Ohms but still vapes good on USB not well on 3.7 Battery.
