Replacement for nichrome coil... in Modding Forum; I'd say lets run with it... If it fits in a "cigarette look-a-like", great... If we need a new PV ...

If we need a new PV, which is what it looks like we are going to end up with - that's fine too. The market will handle both, I'm sure!

    I paraphrase Heinlein:
A thousand educated guesses aren't worth one case of jumping in and finding out.

    From my own experience:
You're never happy with the first one.

    I agree also.
Like I said before it is just a prototype.
Almost guaranteed it will not be right the first time.

    Hows it coming Q4mK?

I was also just thinking...would it be possible to see if they have something similar with an existing mold? Not necessarily exact but close...ceramic coated heating element close to the specs we need? Might be good for a test or two...

Samples were ordered about a week ago, and are in the process of being manufactured. We are just waiting for them to be ready to ship. In the mean time, I'm trying to figure out how to get payment to their bank in China. They do not accept credit cards or PayPal, so I have to figure out how to wire funds internationally. I have an account number for the China Construction Bank, Zhuhai branch, and my bank can't transfer funds there. Does anyone know anything about transferring money internationally using SWIFT?
