I buy from heaven-gifts in China (formally ruyandirect), from ordering it takes less than 10 days to get to me in Tasmania, fastest was 6 days... (via EMS) Customs have only opened and inspected one of my packages... My packages are handed over to Customs in Melbourne then released by Customs in Hobart, I assume this is done so the packages don't have to go through our strict quarantine down here in Tassie (on top of Customs in Melb) ... In most states I believe it's illegal to sell unapproved nicotine products, but it's ok to import and possess for personal use... I haven't been able to find anything saying you're not allowed to import this stuff... Goodluck |

Customs have told me that the device and liquid are illegal for import under the following: 1. Device - Schedule 2, Item 14 2. Content (Liquid) - Schedule 8, Item 13 I am not allowed to post links, but the schedules are available at first google result for "CUSTOMS (PROHIBITED IMPORTS) REGULATIONS 1956" Schedule 2, Item 14 is "Handheld battery operated devices designed to discharge a gas or liquid" which just seems to conviently fit - I dont think this is specifically for e-cigs, probably more for a weapon of some kind. Schedule 8, Item 13 is "Preparations that purport to be a remedy for drunkenness, alcoholic habit or drug habit" which I think can probably be argued - these are not remedys but alternatives. Interestingly I can't find nicotine listed at a glance, and propylene glycol is listed as an exception under Schedule 8, item 10, probably due to its use in every product under the sun. He did mention that these items are under the control of the TGA. |

![]() Schedule 2, item 14 doesn't really fit if you use a passthrough rather than batteries... and it appears nicotine isn't on their list of drugs and doesn't fit their definition of a drug... I guess this is why they let the e-cig supplies through...

Well that makes sense. I guess if that's the case it should only take another day or two from now. Geeeeeze, talk about a wait. My friend gets his supplies from Totally Wicked in the UK, and says he has no issues importing, and plus they look a lot better as a product. So my next supplier will be either that, or something someone in Australia has recommened and hasn't had any problems. But when (IF) I get this first product I'll give it a bash, and if it meets my expectations I'll look into something better |

Hi All. Just wanted to say hello. As I'm new it appears I can't start threads yet, so apologies if I'm thread hijacking... Anyway, I've got a 510 starter kit, PCC, extra carts, batteries, juice and atty's on their way from heaven-gifts. I'm looking forward to giving up the "bungers" for something a little less harmful! 30+ B&H Special Filters a day for 30+ years is starting to (not suprisingly) knock me around. Yeah, I started young! ![]() I do have a question that I hope someone can answer. From what I've read, customs appear reasonably easygoing about "personal imports". What is the most juice one can get away with in a shipment without raising eyebrows? 100ml? 200ml? More? From what I've read on ECF, as a heavy smoker I can expect to go through roughly 3ml of 24mg juice a day so 100ml would last roughly a month. Will say 120ml (4 x 30ml bottles) slide through without question? I'd love to order it by the litre to save on postage but I'm pretty sure that would be a real dumb idea! Thanks in advance. John. |

Hi Jaydee. Only 1 of my orders has been opened & checked, but that was just before Nic was reclassified,I don't see any trouble with 4 bottles getting through,I'm about to place an order, stocks are low. Have a read at bottom of page on this link..BestEcig are more expensive than HG but they do offer a refund if the worst happens & shipment is stopped. Heaven-gifts will only ship 9 x 30ml bottles per shipment... Quote:
I smoked around 2 x 50gram packs of rollie tobacco per week for 20 years (unfiltered)... It was hard for the first couple of days to not sit down first thing in the morning and roll a cig to have with my morning coffee, but it only took a couple of days to get my brain past that old habbit... I think it was more the an issue with breaking the routine of actually rolling the cig, half asleep, brain on auto-pilot, type of thing.... Goodluck

Thanks for the info guys. That answers a lot of questions. 200ml should keep me happy for a while and save on a bit of postage. The BestECig link is really handy. Although a little dearer, they do sell 36mg juice which heaven-gifts don't stock. If I find I need 36mg, then they're the go to guys. If I don't, I can cut it with some PG and it works out cheaper (with guaranteed delivery) |

So I finally got my e-cig in the mail. It is actually a better product than I thought, the atomizer works really well and produces a lot of vapour. Plus the 16mg really knocks me about! Now that I have an e-cig that looks very similar than a normal cigarette that I can take in public, I think it's time to get something that works even better than takes the liquid. |

Anyway, for people that are worried, I bought a RN4081 Starter from Totally Wicked, that came through fine, then I got 7 bottles of 20 ml liquid and 2 bottles of 10 ml liquid through Customs fine. Both were unopened, and both were cleared in a couple of hours after being held by Customs. So far so good.
