Default EVO - not sure if this is a problem, but it is annoying!

    Hello guys,

It`s been about 12 days with the EVO (me and my GF) - we have 2 e-cigs.
Everything great and we`re happy. BUT...

It started maybe yesterday or the day before...something like a problem with one of the e-cigs...and just don`t know what is wrong with it.

While one of the batteries was charging I took the other e-cig and wanted to take a hit....but I couldn`t.

I tried again and again...the battery was charged....but the LED did not activate and the e-cig was definitely not working...

I switched to the other atomizer....tried to get a hit...same problem...like something was not right.

In a few seconds it just worked like it nothing happened...

We have noticed this maybe 3 or 4 times.... and I`m just not sure if it is the battery, the atomizer, the carts...or...I don`t know..

Any help or advice would be great....

p.s. Could the problem be caused because the the atomizer is not tight enough assembled to the battery ? (I tried to tighten it when the problem happened but it did not solve it in the first seconds)

Sounds like the cutoff. 2 minutes in the penalty box and then it works again.

I have kinda give up on my EVO batteries, it seems like I am getting only about 4 sec before the cutoff. I have been using myfreedomsmoke batteries, and I can get 8-9 sec cutoff.

Sometimes, batteries can "stick".... Try blowing through it from the LED end, the threaded end, and the LED end again... Also, knocking it on a table can help

Just had to do that very thing last night to a relatively new battery that was acting up.

    Default Carts

    Hmmm,

It looks like it is all about experience...

I just tried to vape from a fully charged battery and the LED was just turning On and Off (but not like when the battery is empy). It looked like it is trying to to work not quite well... And I thought I should call the supplier for a replacement battery or atomizer...

I took the other battery and tried to vape but the same thing happened...so I changed the carts of both e-cigs and that solved the problem...

It used to be different in the beginning:

    - when I received the e-cigs and the carts were empty they would NOT trick me - they would just stop the vapor but there would be no difference in the battery behaviour .....now it is different... (aarrgh it is so difficult to describe it with a few words and my poor english )

So it turned out that this problem was due to empty carts.

P.s. Pls keep the thread open as I am not sure yet what is going on here...actually I hope that it is all in my head and all the problems would be solved with fresh liquid

Might also help to clean the contacts between atomizer and battery well. Take a tissue and rub both the outer threads as the insides of the contacts (so the small round 'plates' that touch each other on contact) well clean. Sometimes people forget to do those small plates, and only rub the outside threads... then it can happen that they seem clean but still don't work (well).

You've been staying up too late at night watching the hockey playoffs haven't you?

    hi mate,

the evo has a 5 second drag limit. if you exceed the 5 seconds then it shuts down the whole e-cig for 2 minutes. its designed to protect the atomiser but personally i think manufacturers just add that feature to annoy people!

Scott, thanks for all your replies, videos, tips and hints...

You`ve helped me out a lot with my beginners questions..
but this time it is not that... I usually do not take such long drags..I think the problem was just empty carts and strange battery behaviour...when I set the fresh liquid it`s on fire again like usual

    cheers
