    Question Defective battery

I just got a brand new 510 starter kit from CigTechs, as a backup, and couldn't be more pleased. except i noticed the 2 batteries that came with the kit are not the same.

One battery, just like the batteries from my first kit, has 4 notches cut out of it, presumably for airflow (though the atomizer only has 2 holes). The other battery has zero notches. I hadn't noticed this right away, but noticed it was leaking (between the battery and atomizer), and the draw was inconsistent. It didn't seem to thread right either.

upon further inspection, I noticed the battery didn't have any notches cut out (where the battery meets the atomizer). Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a new design feature, or a defect?

I sent Chris @ CT an email, and will let you know what he has to say manana...

PS: Will post pics if I can get my camera to work.

Sounds like a definite defect to me. I may be wrong, but I don't know of any batteries without at least two notches.

EDIT: on second thought, the M401 batteries are not notched, The notches are in the atomizers. If attys are not notched, the battery is probably defective.

Thats what I thought. I emailed Chris at CigTechs, this morning, and still no reply. He's been so on point as of yet. I feel almost let down.

I will send another email tomorrow, if I don't hear back all day. I just would hate to lose trust in a supplier. That's never good.

(but if johnson creek doesnt ship my .......ing package soon, a sudden lack of faith may be inevitable)
