    Default 510 PCC problem

I bought a PCC for my 510 from totally wicked and last night I was in a bar playing pool and realized the LED to indicate my battery being charged was not on. (I assumed the battery was full) I filled a cart and connected my atomizer, but the battery made two puffs and was dead. So Then I though maybe the PCC was dead so I chalked up my loss for the night and charged the PCC overnight... still not charging my batteries. Anyone know how to fix this or why it would. Sometimes it charges them sometimes it doesn't the light blinked on earlier while I was in my car driving to work and when I get to work I opened it to grab a fresh cart and now it won't charge again.

Could be a DOA unit. I had one that wouldn't hold a charge too. Sent it back to the supplier for a replacement.

One thing to be aware of is that the case keeps sending current to the battery even after the charge is complete, just like the wall chargers. If you leave a battery in the PCC all the time, it'll discharge the unit completely in about four hours. Additionally, the battery/case connection can be flakey. Sometimes you have to open the top, press the battery down a few times until the red light comes on and then re-close the case.

    Interesting,

I still have not received my 2 PCCs but I`m actually conerned about any known PCC issues up to now...

The PCC battery life is one of them, also are there any technical problems already that I should be aware of ?

    Thanks

I just charged the PCC last night so the battery is full but it still will not charge my manual 510 battery. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and it worked wonderfully, but now its dead. I am thinking about tossing it and buying a j108b from cigtech.com with the charging case because atleast if I have to replace that one it is only 6 bucks. Only thing I am worried about is the quality

The green light was on this morning I tried to charge two batteries in it neither one had the LED light come on to say it was charging. I'm not sure whats up with it... I'm air drying it right now to see if maybe some juice got into the connections that may be causing it to go on the fritz.

Could be hosed. I'd ask your supplier if they'll get you a replacement.

As far as tapping the case goes, that happens with mine too. Here's how to see if it's a connection problem:

Insert a battery but don't close the top. Slowly press the battery down until the red light comes on. You shouldn't have to press it down more than about a millimeter, but press it slowly down until the light comes on, even if you have to push it all the way down. If, after trying that a few times, the light doesn't ever come on, you have a problem with the connection and should send the case back. If the light comes on, you can probably get the case to start charging by jiggling the battery around in the slot a little and closing the top. Also, some of the early builds of the case had the holder for the battery positioned a little too deep to push the battery down far enough to start the charging cycle when the lid is closed. There's a mod in the 510 forum that fixes the issue. You can either put some felt under the lid to make the battery go down further or you can unscrew a screw on the side, slide the black interior insert up a tad and then screw it back in. Don't do that without reading the original post though. It has details on the mod and pictures.

But really, I'd probably just kick it back to your supplier for a replacement.
