What are these batteries?

Could somebody explain the different types of batteries.... Like what's the difference between one called a 18650 and one called a 16340. Are these AA batteries? What are the main kinds of batteries these PV's use other than just calling some 3V or 6V?

How and where did someone get the information on this chart? The 401 and 510 are different companies that make them, so for them to have the same batt?

It does say on the chart that numbers are approximate, and that manufacturers often over-rate their batteries.

To address the original post, though, you can get some information from the battery numbers. An 18650 is 18mm in diameter and 65mm long. A 16340 would be 16mm in diameter and 34mm long. They will generally be 3.7v, but sometimes 3.6v or 3.0v (and very rarely 3.2v...so I hear, I haven't seen any). AA batteries that you find in a store are generally 1.5v, and the rechargeables you get in a Best Buy or similar store are generally 1.2v.
