Red hot batteries

Guys
it takes seconds for an unprotected battery to get red hot before exploding.

Today one of my two green 3 volt batteries from Deal extreme did get really hot in the chuck.

I unscrewed the bottom cap and burnt a thumb.
Got a blister now.

If you sense heat , do not attempt to open the PV, just leave it alone until cool.

Damn these batteries to eternal hell...the Tenergy trip most of the time and the unprotected ones are dangerous if faulty.

The solution is obviously to try and detect a faulty battery before it gets hot.

I'm gonna start wearing a protective mask and gloves when vaping now!!

I have heard a few people talking about the green 3 volt batteries getting hot and exploding ... I would stay away from those batteries I think they produced a faulty batch

This happened on my Chuck. I sent it back in, and he replaced something in it. Then I used those same batteries again with no troubles.

Mine don't get warm while they have a good charge. If I detect the slightest bit of warmth coming through my Prodigy case, I switch out the batteries. I think they start to heat up when they are working harder to provide adequate voltage.
