Joye 510 Automatic Mega Battery Problem

I've been happily vaping since January and now problems are creeping up...

I have two Joye 510 mega automatic batteries that I ordered from Heaven's Gifts that I am having problems with. If I suck on the battery without the atomizer and cart attached it lights up like Christmas. Once I screw the atomizer and cart back onto the battery, my face will turn blue from sucking on the e-cig before the LED on the battery will light up. This equals no vapor because the battery won't activate. A tad frustrating to say the least.

What could be the explanation for this? I have tried these two batteries on multiple atomizer and cart combinations with the same end result. Once I take the battery off the atty/cart it will work (light up) when I draw on it, once I screw it back onto an atty/cart it won't work. It's not the atty/cart because they will work fine with another battery or my USB pass-through.

Any suggestions?

I'm not exactly sure the reason of your problem... I doubt TWO batteries would be bad. But maybe they are. Try unscrewing the attys just a touch to get better air flow. Also, I've heard people stick a paper clip into the hole on the battery very gently. That might help the switch activate.

I'm a little bias when I say this, but you should really look into manual batteries. There's no danger of liquid getting into the battery and messing it up, also, you (almost) never have switch problems like many people do in automatics.

Well, the paperclip was a bit too big to fit in the tiny hole, but a sewing needle did the trick. I stuck the pointed end into the tiny hole of the auto-battery and move it about, in and out, side to side a bit, and viola! It's working like a charm again. Thanks for the suggestion RedRamen.

P.S. I much prefer automatic to manual batteries. Pushing the button feels somehow unnatural to me. Plus, I tend to burn carts and go through atomizers quicker with manuals. Anyway, thanks again!

You can say that again..

I started with a manual and now I have to use autos... The main reasons is that I just like autos better, and the button on the manuals become too painful after a while since I'm a diabetic and have to check my blood sugar using my fingers constantly since I'm on an insulin pump (and no.. I don't bleed enough to get the blood out of my arm *LOL*)

Sounds like there was some lint or old juice clogging up the battery. Good deal on fixing it and to RedRamen for suggesting it.

BWT - You are not alone. I love Auto batteries also. I like them so much I am selling my Manuals to buy more e-Juice.
