I don't think they look bad at all as long as you do a tidy job. Of course, you can easily recess the PCB mount ones anyway.

so, am i the only that can't get this to work? i've tried both ways illustrated in Nico's pic of the DC jack, with two different jacks, and neither has proven successful. both times i've ultimately just traded it out for an OEM connector instead, but would love to figure out what i'm doing wrong. i've gotten the phone jack to work as an 801 connector & have successfully made a 510 connector out of a bronze bushing, but this business has got me stumped.

Don't beat yourself up over it. This was the best solution before OEM battery connectors became readily available and you didn't want to trash a battery.

I like this. I can take this mod, and it's easier to get the wires on this than on some 510 atty connectors. Using this and a 901-510 adapter, I can make the mods in less time than ever.
