    Hi Chuck

Looks okay cant quite see it all though

On the smaller one ..is that the pump bottle from ebay? If you mean the smallest picture, no, it is the breath-spray bottle from CVS. if you mean the smaller bottle, yes it is the same, but the cap is from the CVS bottle
looks different or you still have the cap on it ?? No, the cap was taken off of the CVS breath-spray bottle and we drilled directly into the top of the sprayer so it fits our tubing

if so it wont pump properly? it works, one pump seems to be sufficient

Hopefully these new pictures will you understand what I've done
I'm going to try your method and I'll report back after

Tube and nozzle above is the cap that fits over the tube

CVS Pharmacy "Breath Freshening mist Mint Breeze" bottle comes in a 2 pack

Top of the bottle with the long tube for the longer bottle size (6.5 mL)

The cap of the bottle with the bottle that we put the tube through

That all looks great and 1 pump is enough as I have found that if I pump twice then it will flood. So I tend to vape until I hit that burning taste and then pump once again...its tempting to pump more, but I try not to...

Where are you in the world?? I take it its Stateside somewhere??

this is the mist pumps HERE yes?

    anyways

Keep it going,, it's nice to keep in touch

Hi Art, I found exactly as you,1 pump until burnt taste than pump again.
Those directions for drilling and gluing the cap were perfect,I don't know why I didn't think of reversing the cap. Anyway the whole setup is sitting on the table to dry. I'll glue it into the box again tomorrow and post a pic. Yes I'm in the States (miami ,Fl.)and once again thank you ever so much for the help....Chuck

I have a question: since I screwed up and got the wrong pushbutton, will a 5a 125v button work? And the button is supposed to be a momentary normally open switch correct? (guess that was 2 questions LOL)

Yes, the switch will work just fine - we mostly want to make sure we are using a switch big enough to handle what we are sending through it - about an amp @ roughly 3.7 volts - a heartier switch will give a little more resistance but not enough to be worth worrying over. You would not notice the difference unless you did a very detailed analysis of the electric current.

The switch should be momentary - that means that the action that occurs when the switch is depressed only happens while it is depressed, not like the on/off button on your computer where it stays on when you let go until you press it again, more like a car horn where it stops when you let go of the button. It should also be "normally open" - the terms are a little confusing because they are opposite they way we intuitively want to say it. I am trying not to make the explanation complex; I can explain the wording in more detail, but really, the key words are "momentary" and "normally open". You may run into abbreviations too - mom. and N.O. are the abbreviations you are looking for.

In short, YES TO BOTH QUESTIONS.

    mod newbie here gathering ideas...

Wondering if anyone has seen (and where?) any buttons that are as flush as the JS V3:

Is it possible to get that a 14500 in that size of box? And can one get that matte black rubber-looking finish on a regular batt box?

    Talking You're Back!!

Nicowolf, it sure is great to see you back on the forum. I haven't seen any postings from you in such a long while. I was wondering if you went off and joined another. You are the queen of the mods, well as far as I'm concerned. You are the inspiration for many a modder, that anything is possible. I was hoping to build my first one this weekend but alas I never got around to it. Hopefully I'll get to it sometime this week.
    Welcome back Nicowolf.

I am not as knowledgable as nicowolf but in laymans terms

Momentary is what we need as a switch as it is only a moment (5 seconds maybe your choice) that we need to power the coil of the vapourizer

Open means that the switch is always open until pressed, and it being in a wired open circuit that is always open until we close it momentarilly using our Momentary switch so when we press the switch it closes the open circuit and make the power flow through the switch to the atty etc..

I normally use 1.5amps 125v "push to make" open momentary contact switches @3.7v and havn't had any problems

this is what I use also

SPST momentary switches--. Rated 1.5 amps at 125VAC and mounts in a 1/4'' hole.

Solder contacts rated 1.5A at 125VAC.
    Requires 1/4 inch mounting hole.
Maximum 50 Volts Switching for Europe

just google >SPST Momentary Pushbutton Switch< should be at ratshak

i hope this helps a bit

Hello to all on this thread,
While reading this thread I wondered if I can make a mod using 18650 protected batteries (for longer vaping time) and then to my surpise you Paradiso mentioned that you did just that. Nico's instructions are well documented and I think I should be able to build a 510 mod. But I was wondering what type of 2xAA box I would need to hold a 18650 protected battery?
Would it be the same box as Nico suggest or a bigger box?
Battery holder: 2 x AA Covered Battery Holder with On-Off Switch - RoHS Compliant - BB2AA

Thank you for any help in advance.

    510 Mega, Precise 510 with Brass Cap/Button, 5V 510 Mod & 5V Adjustable voltage 510 Mod

No ready to go box is available. You'll have to find a project box and add your own contacts. Figure the battery itself is about 19 X 67mm.
