Arrow 4X AA 1.2 volts for 4.8 volt 801 burner

I picked up some things at Rshack tonight, button, 2 box's, 2X 1/4 phone jacks. 4X AA holder and 9 volt hook ups, I will be making 2 mod box's from the stuff.

First I got a janty 510 Dura C, for that I got a 2 AA covered box from Rshack. Being a lighter easy to carry around and all that, I'll use one 14500 3.7 volt battery for it.

I also got a Rshack 3x2x1 covered box to build a 801 with, I'm going to use the 4X AA holder to power it. That 4.8 volts with a long run time, the box is bigger but very useful for long run times. Plus will give the power for some really good vapin, the only thing I'm worried about is burning up atoms.

I've noticed most atoms say 4.2 as max voltage, so I'm wondering if it should be ok, with the 4.8 volts instead ???

Tims--you should be good to go with 4.8 volts--the passthroughs I have used where all hooked up to a 5V with a 1Amp output and did fine. --------Sun

Considering the spendy way to play, that I will indulge in once Steve ships my new toy, is a regulated 5v 801 plaything, and recognizing that the true way to play based upon cart size and flavor delivery is a 5v 801 style atomizer, assuming you are serious about your pleasure, I think your voltage will be more than sufficient, and highy recommend the BECI be112 atty's.

    Good Luck

Thanks for the input, these being my first mods I want to make sure on stuff.

I seen some foster grant reading glasses, they had a wonderful case they was in. If they would not of cost $17 at rite aid, I would of got a pair for the case. They looked like really high class case's, if I find them cheaper I'm going to grab some for modding.

I found some at amazon sweet, some are metal and would look and work great for high class mods boxes......

4 NiMH batts will produce 5.76V when fully charged, falling down to 4.8V near depletion.
You will have to consider this.

Here is a video of a 901 3xNiMH NicoBox mod for reference

I rebuilt my BE112 (like a DSE801) MOD this morning. It runs off of my Kensington battery via USB. I used a 1n4001 diode to drop the voltage from 5 volts to 4.8. I actually wanted 4.3, but the diode doesn't drop as much voltage as I expected. I tried two and both only dropped .2 volts so I went with it rather than run a full 5 volts (no room for more than 1 diode). The previous build's diode dropped .707 volts.
It vapes great and doesn't seem to get too hot at all.

I do my atty testing with 4x1.2V NiMH; but I find this not as powerful as a good sized 3.7v Li-ion; but it's ok (certainly not too much).

That 901 mod looks like great vapor, ya I guess the li-ion would have better kick.
