I don't think you can charge 2 batts at the same time unless the are parallel. I'm no electrical genius so maybe with a y adapter they would be parallel? But yes that box is sweet. I wonder if warp has seen your rca adapter with the button in it?

Edit. Does that recharge box also function as a 5V pass through with your handy rca with a button adapter?

No it will not work as a passthrough, just tested that, only putting out 51ma of power.

Yes.

And correct, the only difference might be the distance between the center posts and how long the electrical board material needs to be, but that should be it.

Ok this is the fastest mod I have ever made

I bought 2 mini single cell AAA mag lights, I the removed the lens, reflector and light bulb holder. I then took a RCA jack (Female) and a pair of pliers and threaded the upper portion where the light bulb holder was. I removed it and did the second one with the same RCA jack, yes it scratched it up real good, but I am at work and not with my tools, so I sacrificed one RCA jack for this. I then took 2 good RCA jacks and screwed them in flush.

Then I put the top back on:

And when viewed from the side, you dont see the connector:

Final product, I can now use the switch connector from the last post with this baby battery mod that uses the 10440 battery. No soldering, just put the battery in and the RCA jack center post touches the battery. The shell acts as the ground. No soldering. These took me 10 minutes to make! But you must use the modified RCA connector with the micro tactile switch shown.

Here is a picture showing the voltage after putting the "standard battery" back in 1.602vdc. No soldering, just screw the RCA jack into the top body of the mini mag.

Hi Dan, the only thing that I didn't understand was how did you put the copper wire in the PC board piece, the pictures are a little blurry and I can't see the details. Could you post another pic or maybe a diagram

Q4mK, i found the mini-mag at Radio Shack, the model itself is called the Solitaire. and Dan, i have a question as to how you got the light bulb holder out? i've given it a few taps with a little screwdriver, but it hasn't budged yet and i don't want to whomp it without asking first.. i'd hate to knock something loose that i need. thanks for the guide, had a blast putting that switch together.. between this and Cisco's laser mod guide, i've at last gotten to dust off the soldering iron that's been stashed in my tool bag for the last decade. ;b all the best, sir.

Here is a diagram of the switch and circuit board:

Start in the right front hole, over the top, through the back left hole back over the top back through the right back hole tie off and solder.

To get the light bulb holder out, place on a solid surface and use a very fine point jewelers flat tip screw driver and lightly tap with a hammer into the center of the light holder. The result is the bottom half will fall out and the top half will come out stuck on the screwdriver.
Then tap it with a 1/4in 28 or 32 thread tap. Of sacrifice one connector and force thread it.
