Ok here is a step by step on making the circuit board and wrapping the wire.
I have reduced the size of the circuit board to 2 wide by 4 holes long. Insert the wire so it looks like so:

Pull the wire tight and straight up as such:

Now twist the wire so you have wires pointing from both sides and so:

Now solder, you can trim this to fit exactly in the hole of the battery connector and the RCA center post, so you don’t need a centering spring. Build up the solder at the Y to make better contact with the battery or RCA connector:

Don’t forget to solder on the switch and test it before you put in inside:

It helps to make an isert to protect the ciruit from grounding, here is an idea I had:

Well hope this helps clarify things,
    Dan

That does help clarify things. I think I'll have to make one like that in the near future instead of putting the button in the battery box itself. Thanks!

Hi Dan, I've been trying to get the "Phono (RCA-Type) Plug (2-Pack)" but the ones I can get at my local electronic stores (also RadioShack) have the "barrel" shorter or a lot wider (the ones that are wider have a gold finish and I really hate gold) than the one you use for the switch. I'm going to try to fit the switch in the shorter one but soldering is going to be needed and I don't have tools for making the hole for the switch and widen the end of the barrel so the atty connector would fit.

Anyway, I was thinking that with a dead battery you already have a switch in there so I started to play with the idea of using what you already have right?

So, turns out that the original dse901 battery cylinder fits pretty snug and tight with the RCA connector (female) and it fits right in the wider center part of the RCA connector (right between the threads and the connector) so once you put these two pieces together you can screw and unscrew the RCA connector from the mini mag. All you have to do is have one switch for every device 801, 901 and 510. Obviously all you have to do is cut the cylinder so it would be short enough, you're even going to end with a switch a lot shorter than the one you use.

BUT, I have a question. I want to keep the leds connected even if I won't be able to see them cause I'm going to put the leds inside the switch and this way I'll still have the cut off time, but I'm not sure about the wiring. I know that the red wire is going to be soldered to the center post of the RCA connector and the leds also going to be connected to the red wire (the other two wires purple and blu are going to stay the same), but I'm not sure about what to do with the black wire that goes from the switch board to the original battery, any clue?

    Thanks Dan

P.D. I'll be posting pictures of this for those who are in the same situation as me. By the way I live in Mexico, so Radioshack Mexico doesn't sell the same parts as Radioshack USA

I would cut out the back wire completely and run the red wire through the switch to the battery connector, and then from the other side of the switch to the center rca post. The mini mag shell is ground so when you connect it, it will complete the neg ground circuit. But the red is where you should be using the switch not the ground.
    Hope that helps.

Sorry Dan, so the black is ground? I didn't understand why "run the red wire through the switch to the battery connector, and then from the other side of the switch to the center rca post"
I thought that I would only have to connect the red wire to the center RCA post

Because if you are unning ground through the switch, it is already grounded through the body and when you connect it, it will always be on, so you have to run the power through the switch. Dont need a ground wire because the body or "shell" is the ground.

Hi Nietzsc ! I have tried to use the switches of my 3 510's batts with no success, the switches can not handle the current output from 18650 bat, it get hot and burnt. That is why we put the switch in that RCA. Hope this help!

Hey Dan! see my Cigar Tube 18650 , just made today , does it look cool to you?
    Nick!

SweeT! Check out this cigar tube I found with clip...

Cigar Saver Tubes, Cigar Savor Tubes, Shotgun Shell Cigar Saver

How long is the tube you have? This one is 8" I suppose I could add springs inside to take up the space.
    Great job,
