I don't know that I'd say they look *just* like yours, heh. One of 'em came out kinda crooked 'cause my first run @ force threading the rca jack didn't go so well. ;b There would've been three in that pic, btw, but I think the kr808d-1 connector I was trying to use was a little too banged up by the time I'd separated it from the carcass of the battery it had been attached to, heh.

Anyhow, thanks for posting the pic & all the assistance. These things work wonderfully, and making them was a nice change of pace.. much more fun than merely clicking the Buy Now button ;D

    All the best, sir.

How long is the tube you have? This one is 8" I suppose I could add springs inside to take up the space.
    Great job,
    Dan
Dan, the Cigar Tube I used was 7" 1/2 long and about 1" D, it costs $10 shipped from Ebay. If It is 20mm Diameter would be perfect. I cut the Tube and use only about 78mm long, the other part I plan to use for 5V 2 RC123a batts. And I used the small spring took out from AAA batts holder, had to make an acrylic bottom cap by hand with 2 tunneling holes on the side of the cap for safety , protected 18650 batt.

What's the diameter of the Cigar Tube you found there Dan? It looks nice!

21mm is the diameter, would have to cut it down which defeats the purpose of the screw on cap I was gonna put the RCA jack in. Hmmmmm will see, might be able to re-thread it.

some one needs to sell these as the tried and true universal adapters. it would make for easier atty switching and even better power choices.

21mm is a good size there Dan. I don't think you have to re-thread the tube to screw that cap in perfectly, as it could snap or slide in tight is good cuz you may not need to open it often, just make an adapter from batt charger slot to a male RCA then plug in that female RCA on the batt tube to charge. see picture in my last few post.

Lordmage, If you like these adapters, ask Dan, I think he wouldn't mind making a few for you, but you may have to send him your dead batts for use in the adapter.

Nietzsc, I think it could work with 10440 since the 510's inline 10440 PT uses the same switch as the regular 510 batts. But it will not work in any higher than that 10440. The 10440 batt mod is neat but if you vape alot, still have to carry several batts for the day, why not making a higher capacity batt mod so you just need only one for a day or two. Just a thought !

nick76: I see what you mean, I'm a new vaper I just bought my first DSE901 a few weeks ago, my atomizer died the other day and I'm waiting for an 801 and a 510.

The thing is that I found Dan's mag lite mod and hapen to have a mini mag, so being my first mod I think is the easiest since I already have that flashlight. I'm also waiting for tha 10440 battery to arrive so a few days more till I can begin to finish it and test it.

But I've been reading about the 5v and also 6v mods and I will also try them in the future.

What I don't get is why you say the switch would not hold the output? aren't both batteries giving 3.7 volts? or it has to do with the mAh?

Sorry I can't explain that to you cuz I got the least electrical knowledge in here , I just guessed that might be a higher current output from larger batts. What I told you was my own tested experiences, I was just like you, trying to use those switches but failed so. And after read this threat from Warp , I got the idea put the switch in RCA adaper !

The little 50ma switches have a hard time standing up to 30-40 times their design amperage (1.5 - 2 amps, which is not unusual for e-cigs).
