The cable is so stiff (impossible to tell from a small pic), that you can almost hang your clothes to dry on it.
What this causes is as you move the pass-through on your hand while vaping, the cable forces the switch casing to gyrate inside and at times forcing the switch into the notch that holds it in place in such way that it keeps the button pressed down without you noticing and obviously frying your atomizer.
I have the same problem about the cable on this PT. It is just so unwielding and fried 2 or 3 of my new atoms. I got so tired of fighting with this thick cable that I stopped using the PT completly though it worked great for vaping and I bought a 510, 801 and 910 adapter, so very pricey, but I just can't stand that cable though it will probably last me a lifetime, LOL

A lifetime of frying atomizers or a lifetime of sitting in a drawer.
Just do what I did and you won't have to fight the cable anymore and will really have a great long lasting pass-through.
