So for your example.... I did a search with "tinear" as the user.... and "find threads by user" not "find posts by user", 9 threads in total, a few from the modders forum (I didnt go clicking around, im on my blackberry while on the train, but id assume its tinear's thread )
Yes, if you know the author its simple , what I mean is when you look for something you know you saw but don't remember the author or the name or the thread.

Anyway, maybe it's just me as I mentioned earlier, but how come there are so many threads started by people that can't find what they are looking for?

BB searches tend to suck, plus people are lazy

It helps to edit the tags when you post a thread, makes searching for keywords easier. The problem is everyone needs to do it to help out. I'll edit the tags on this one and see if it does any better.

Awesome, now how do we get everyone to do it?

Funny how this thread went form removing "threads" as in battery connectors to removing "threads" that are repeated over and over , LOL

I'll try that in any of my threads also, anything to help the search.

If there is anyone to blame for hijacking it, it is me, but I believe the question was already answered by Burnie.
