Default Recommended MosFet for 5v mods

From my readings here and on other forums, MosFets seem to be the most reliable way to switch an atomizer.

What are the recommended part numbers for this application?

IRF8736 work great although a bit more pricey.

Gate is fully on over 2.35V, mosfet is good for 14Amps.

Thanks! Looks good from the datasheet.

    I got the NTB18N06LT4GOSCT-ND

    MOSFET N-CH 60V 15A D2PAK

    As recommended by Cisco.

For the resistor between gate and source, I got

    CF1/410KJRCT-ND
    RES 10K OHM 1/4W 5% CARBON FILM

    Both are from Digikey.

Good timing, my shop was just talking about Mosfets yesterday.

Has anybody here been able to recieve samples of these from a manufacturer?

I paid for mine, but they're super cheap. I got 5 of them for $7.70... $1.54 each.

    Default Would this work?

Will any of the sample mosfets on TI.com work. I don't mind paying if I have to but £12 delivery for 5 x mosfets @ £0.87 is a bit steep

I've used the TI CSD16325 MOSFETs. They're damned small and a bit of a pain to solder to, but they *do* work.

Don't laser pointers have a tactile switch and mosfet on a PCB? Shouldn't you just be able to pick up a laser pointer at the dollar store and use that? I'm not telling, I'm asking. Seems like a good way to get it all in a nice small package for almost nothing.
