You need to slowly check each little part for continuity. If you go through it piece by piece you'll find where it is failing.

I don't see any mention of a switch other than the original in the end cap. If so check that with a meter and also look at the threads on the end cap. sometimes the coating completely covers the thread and doesn't ground properly.
I would also replace that 10440 with a normal AA cell while you're testing as if there is a short somewhere you could blow the 10440
Last thing, if that is the only switch it is probably a clicky on /off switch. Not good for this kind of thing as it could be accidently left on

there is a momentary switch i picked up from radio shack. i will definitely check everything one by one tonight when i get home tonight with a voltmeter. If i cant figure it out from there i will post tomorrow.

If everything is working and you are still getting nothing.... I suspect your atty is not making contact with the battery connector.



Try prying it up just a tad. Carefully please. Either that or try the stapler MOD. You can also put a dab of solder on the center of the battery connector.

its the battery holder try putting 3 AAA battery in it it will work. if your only useing oneit will not work.
