Thanks, Mitch, for your help with this. I did a very crude wire up with it today. It works! It powers an atomizer. I left out the washer and the nut - had enough space to put it through a plastic disc and connect the atomizer. Now I don't have to destroy 901 batteries.

It's nowhere near ready for a video yet. I just used elctrical tape to hold wires on a battery pack and put the wires on the connector thingy in the right places. The atomizer was on there and got toasty quick. That is a vast improvement over the batteries getting toasty.

Smile Coaxial Power Jack from Radio Shack

Hi, I been following this thread and I think the solution you found for this 901 atomizer adapter is perfect (almost). I went out to radio shack and purchased the connector to build my own usb pass-through for the dse901. I have some issue with this adapter:

    1. The adapter has an engagement pole that need to have something inserted before ground is shorted. I have resolved this by soldering that engagement pin inside the connector to the ground pin.

    2. The connector is small and there are some engineering flaws. If you plan to fit this adapter into a small tube like a pen. The black plastic hosing will compress inwards and cause a short between the positive and negative. So this will be best for a mod that does fit tightly into a tube.

    3. Do not screw too tightly. The center pen might push the center pole of the atomizer in and will no longer make contact when you connect a regular 901 battery. I solved this by using a paper clip fashioned into a j hook and slowly and lightly move the center pole on the atomizer back out. Since the center pole on the atomizer is held in by a soft silicon material, it will retain its position once you move it back into the original height.

    Just some observations.

Forgot another point, don't bend the connector poles on the connector, that will in turn deform the black plastic and short the positive and negative. Hope this helps someone.

Seems to me that all we need is to find a good atomizer to battery connector and everybody could start making all kinds of mods.

This connector actually does work. I now have a working mod with it. It will not fit in a tiny little battery housing like the OEM one though. I fits in the Magnum Mod and the Juice Box Mod just fine. Mine is a Juice Box Mod, but I have used it in several attempts at the Magnum Mod and my problem is always soldering the tiny little switch with its tiny little contacts that get brittle and its tiny little plastic body that melts immediately, not with the size of this connector.

Yeah, I still do not see where meditating with my connector does anything for modding it. I am very much grounded and centered now though.

I just took the atomizer off the mod I made with this connector and put it on a fresh OEM battery. The atomizer still works fine with the original batteries, no worries there.

I did bend the contacts. I intentionally broke off the two unnecessary ones to simplify it for myself. I then ended up bending the one remaining one 90 degrees to make an easier solder connection to my switch. I have no problems with my black plastic casing being deformed or anything shorting out.

I don't mean to discredit or hurt you, just relate my experience and the outcomes.
