OMG... and i thought pot heads built too much stuff...
will it fit a protected battery?
Ya I bought two of those a couple months ago and made a 5 volt mod out of one. It's my most favorite mod.
It takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
This looks like the first step mod I have been waiting for. My main question is how to wire in and secure the atomizer connection... I see you put a + wire to the center, but how do you connect the - ? sorry for the newbie questions, I just want my first mod to be as simple as possible, and this looks like it might be the one to start with.
Also, when you put your atty/cart into the empty chamber, where did you put the + wire? It is hard to see in the photo.
Thanks for sharing this idea!
Actually the hole I had to cut for the atty connector is snug and I place my finger on the connector while I screw the atty on. When you snap the two pieces together it holds real tight so as of yet not problem.
The atomizer and cart fit where it is due to cutting the spring down to only one ring to solder the positive wire to. And trimming what would have been the plastic for holding the other battery connector. The positive wire is in the very bottom corner under the battery running up to the cut spring.
There is no negative to do. the switch is a spring and contacts the atty conector on the outside and touches the negative side of battery when you slide the switch lever.
Hope this helps. I could do another picture if you need?
You will for sure love how simple this mod is.
