    Default DURA-C USB Passthrough Mod

so the Dura-C has a switch built into it.

would it be possible to gut the battery (once it's days are over)
and just connect up the proper wires from a long USB chord
and thus have Dura greatness with USB direct power for eternal vaping on the couch or at the desk?

    anyone try it yet?

if Janty just made one I'd buy it right now.
The Dura needs a USB / direct power option asap

That would be simple enough to put together. I have a Dura C on order and while I'm buying to use when I'm out and about, I'm sure at some point, I'll get bored and make a usb passthrough for it. Easier yet is if someone can find a fitting that works with the atomizer so that we can make mods without destroying batteries since janty seems to have a decent warranty period.

yeah I saw that post by someone about the phone connector they found for another type of atomizer that the threads worked on.

I just had a crazy idea.

I was looking at my Dura USB charger.

what if I found a brass fitting with the proper thread
pitch that could couple the atomizer to the usb charger?

    then I'd just need a switch....right?

    or am I crazy?

I don't think the chargers have the output amperage needed to drive the atomizer. Most say 1000mah, I believe that the chargers trickle in at 50mah or so.

    ah. ok.

I wonder about just getting another charger and gutting out
the electronics, make it direct, then just finding a coupler to
    join it with the atomizer.

the big obstacle is a threaded coupler to bring it all together.

If you can wait for one of your dura-c battery to die then it will be fairly easy to make a usb. And it will already have a switch on it.

With my kissbox I bypassed the battery box.(cut it out). I vape straight to the charger from my Iphone, 5v 1a output.
