A little backstory

For the last 13 years of my life this has been my everyday carry:

Well as of today that is no longer :vapor::D

What I'm he to tell you is a little back story on my dipping life. It all started in Boy Scouts, I was in a patrol with 3 of my best friends Ryan, Danny, and Chris we all new each other from birth (seriously Chris and Ryan were born hours apart in the same hospital and the only two babies born that day) Well we hung out more and more camping campfires the works. I got the bright idea to invite my 3 up to my parents trailer that we had in Upstate NY for Spring Break (we were about 15-16 years old) NO Adults ( haha see where this is headed?) We got to drinking and trying other things not known to us one of my friends brought one of his fathers can of dip. I was immediately hooked. From that day forward I used dip every chance I could, It was exhilarating I was able to taste the sweet flavors as well as getting this "high" I had never gotten before.

After a few months of trying different flavors I settled on Skoal Cherry Flavor. I had been using that ever since. After a few years I got tired on the messiness of the bottles laying around, the beer cans that you had to sniff before drinking out of (Made that mistake ONCE never happened again). Trying to put a pinch of dip in my mouth became a chore, its like pinch some dirt between your forefinger and your thumb and expecting it not to go everywhere. Or running the risk of dumping a open bottle on your computer as your trying to write. YUCK!

Here comes 2010 and my father is diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer he smoked for much of his 59 years. He was given less then a year. At that time I started looking into the electronic cigarettes to help me kick the dip. However, I didn't look hard enough and bought this cheap no name knockoff of a knockoff that knocked off the knockoff. You get the idea. It was crap I hated it within a month I was back on the dip using more then I ever used before. Christmas Day 2010, I worked the Overnight shift for my local ambulance squad at 0500 I get the call I dread. My father passed away. This caused me to spiral out of control with my life I was up to 2 cans a day of the nasty stuff. I needed help. But did I want to help myself? Nope. That mistake of not getting help when I needed it the most haunts me.

January of 2014 I make a promise to myself that I will quit the dip in 2014 I started researching and researching then researching my research. I found that product that I believe will help me finally kick the dip! The Morning of May 4th was my last dip I am now using an innokin Itaste MVP2 with an IClear 30 filled with Cherry Candy. I still like the cherry so I had to go with that. I can honestly say I no longer crave the pinch of tobacco. I hope this device keeps me off the dip permanently.

Until Next Time
