Clove juice

Posted 08-18-2009 at 11:58 PM by Ariel
This is something I originally posted to the DIY e-juice forum, but have modified from the original post to take into account various juice strengths, and posted here for my personal reference:

Note: The oil doesn't burn out the atty. It DOES stick around a bit, but can be vaped out.

Add to 10 ml (or larger) syringe in this order:

The base concept, for 10 ml of juice:

<X> ml VG
4 drops clove oil
1 drop anise oil
<Y> ml everclear (everclear is the best choice)
<Z> ml 48 mg PG unflavored

where Z = % of 48 mg to make it the final strength ...

ie, for 24 mg strength
---> 24/48 ---> 0.50 ---> (0.50 * 10 [ml]) ---> 5 ml of 48 mg in the 10 ml blend
(this is also adjustable, based on the original unflavored PG strength)

then A = (X + Y); where A = (10 - Z)

So, for example, for a 24 mg strength, you need 5 ml blend of VG and Everclear ---> (10 - 5) .

The math for this is

Y = 0.14 (A)
X = (A - Y)

For 24, this means there will be 0.70 ml of everclear ----> (0.14 * 5 = 0.70)
and 4.30 ml of VG ----> (5.00 - 0.70 = 4.30)

----------------------------------------------------

Here's some strengths, with the math already done:

14 mg strength:

6 ml VG
4 drops clove oil
1 drop anise oil
1 ml everclear
3 ml 48 mg PG unflavored

-------------------------------------

24 mg strength:

4.30 ml VG
4 drops clove oil
1 drop anise oil
0.70 ml everclear
5.00 ml 48 mg PG unflavored

-------------------------------------

36 mg strength:

2.30 ml VG
4 drops clove oil
1 drop anise oil
0.20 ml everclear
7.50 ml 48 mg PG unflavored

Shake. This makes a touch over 10 ml of juice.

TONS of vapor. Good throat hit. Lovely taste. CLOSE to what I remember of Djarum black, but definitely a strong clove taste, like what I've wanted in a clove but couldn't find.

(Finally, a use for math!)
