This is more for my reference. It's based off this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../35917-sattecs-atty-cleaning-test-thread.html and various other threads suggesting using denture cleaner tabs.
Remember the clean atty is about as clean as a new one, and will soak up a LOT of juice. Once it's resoaked, let it sit a minute or three before vaping again. It may also take a bit before it starts vaping properly again.
It takes a bit of effort, but since using this method, I have had zero dead atties. I also rotate enough atties that I only need to do the full cleaning once a month.
- Blow out the dirty atties.
- Put atties in a small glass and add enough Crest Pro-health Blue to cover them (optionally, mouthpieces may be added).
- Gently shake the glass about 15 minutes - think of icecubes in water. There's no need to continuously shake, maybe once or twice every minute.
- Blow out the atties, then rinse with warm water, and blow them again.
- Drop a denture tablet - I use unflavored Efferdent - in very warm (not hot) water, then add equipment. Make sure the mouthpieces are part of this step.
- Let the mix stand for 15 minutes.
- Blow out the atties, then rinse and blow again.
- Place atties and mouthpieces on absorbent paper, and let dry approximately 24 hours.
