Sophia Vertical Coil with Rayon
Step-1. Coil Prepared:
Wrapped 32AWG torched kanthal (with NR legs) over a toothpick (approx 2mm OD).
Step-2. Coil Squeezed:
Removed the coil, held it between a pair of tweezers and gave it a heated squeeze.
Step-3. Rayon Wrapped:
A small piece of Rayon is used, in medium density state. Not too thick and not too fibrous.
Step-4. Build Inserted in Ceramic:
Using the toothpick as a guide positioned the coil & wick inside the cup.
Step-5. Wires Trimmed and Airway Cleared:
Tucked-in all the Rayon along the side walls of the ceramic, leaving a clean passage
thru the coil.
Step-6. Build Juiced up:
Step-7. Vapor Check:
Step-8. Prepare the Wick Tail:
NOTE: Took another (independent) piece of Rayon and placed it along the vertical
juice channel. Then tucked it at both ends ~ (1)on top over the previously wrapped and juiced Rayon, which has been sitting around the insides of the cup, (2)at the bottom, between the cup and the base.
Step-9. Wick Tails and Final Inspection:
Repeated the tailing process on the other side, inspected a clean airway and saturated again.
Step-10. Ohms Check:
tank Fill & Ready to Rockkk!
BOTTOMLINE: Wicks and performs exceptionally! Built it in the morning and have been vaping this setup exclusively since. No flooding, no dry-hits. VTF is perfect, as usual with Sophias - but the now I have an
airier experience, something which I had been longing for a while. The vapour seems to be more
smooth and its density too got a boost. Yep, the vapour is thick! Overall this is a fantastic setup on an already superfine Tanked-RBA!
