And... it got me thinking. How much Imeo stuff do I own. Let's go through memory lane.
3 years ago, from Imeo, I bought a GGT. Because it did not seem right and I was so new at this, I sent it back to him saying "This does not have 5 pieces." He said he would give me a refund (I would never take that) but that it was not a Grant of anything smaller. The trick was that the 2 end caps counted as part of the 5 pieces. Also, I just could not get any of the sizes to work. This was when you had to remove pieces to make the battery size right. Now, with GGTS, all you have to do is to screw the telescope piece. I think Stormy was the one to help Imeo with that which is why the name is GGTStorm.
If I were to add up the cost of my collection, what I paid over the past 3 years of collecting, it would be over $10,000. I am truely a vaping nut! I have helped some people give up smoking and come to vaping. I say to them "For you, this will be much cheaper than smoking. For me, this is much more than I ever spent smoking. Just don't become a collector of Mods and you will be fine."
Onto the 1st generation of SB from Altsmoke and onto the 1st batch of Reo's from Mr. O'neil to which he has made a hole in my door to match what is being made now.
I am constantly scanning here, ECF, UKvapers, VF and anywhere that talks about new stuff. I have been recently buying things like the "Steam Machine" which is wonderful.
But of all the stuff, I love Imeo's the most and the reason why is how I met him 3 years ago. Another Forum, I won't say which, had a bunch of people saying bad things about Imeo and his GG. I wrote that to him directly and wanted to find out for myself just who this Mr. GG was.
I found him to be the most gracious, nicest, kindest most caring man, let alone Vendor. Every time I wrote to him, starting here at ECF and then onto personal e-mails which is what we have been doing for almost the past 3 years up to this day. I made the determination that the Forum with the people saying bad things were not only totally off base, but were jealous of this true "ModFather."
I told those people just how I thought and began to buy his products. 1st from him directly and then from Bruce at COV and also from his Greek Site if Bruce runs out of things.
But the Superslim is worth talking about. I forget who I got it from, but it was new and never worked properly. About 1 year after owning it, I wrote to Imeo and he told me to mail it to him. He sent it back with the latest brand new 510 top which was a 901 when I bought it and also put on the latest brand new back pin, both of which were worth about $75. He said that he did that just for me and did not do that for others.
I told the person in a PM that story and it made me feel so great about Imeo, I had to write it here. This is a great man. He has a full time job selling Insurance, but always has the time, day or night to answer not only me, but all of you here at ECF and others.
Another thing he does is to allow people to make items to go wth the GG stuff. People that make plexaglass windows for the Iatty and Oddy as well as the UFS to 510 connector. He even gave me the hook up for the UFS connector person. What a man. Such a person is to be loved and revered.
To this day, those same people are saying the same bad things about GG.. but Imeo and I know the truth... secretly, they own many of his items and now cannot suddenly say how much they love them without being "Outed" from the "In" group at this certain Forum.
So, to end this note spurred on by the person who wrote me, of all the items I own, the greatest and most loved % of the items are Imeo's GG's. For those that don't own one yet, you are most certainly missing out. Write to him for yourself like I did 3 years ago and watch as you are responded to like you were friends already.
