This was the first “real” kit I bought when transitioning from analogs. I tried Mistic E-cigs a while back, and was less than enthusiastic about them, and I started back smoking. About two months ago, I found Mt Baker and bought this kit for around $40USD, and I couldn’t be happier. This is an excellent kit to get anyone started who is ready to be done with analogs, and the stigma, and appearance of cig-a-likes. Not to take away from anyone who uses them, they just aren’t for me.
Before I get into the review, I want to speak on Mt Baker for a moment. They were extremely helpful, and answered every question I had. They made the process super easy, and didn’t make me feel like too much of a noob! Kudos to Mt Baker Vapor for stellar service.
The packaging is gorgeous and very well made. The box is sturdy and nicely layer out. Top notch presentation. Everything was wrapped in plastic. The iClear 16sc’s were in their own box, each in its own plastic sleeve, rubber caps on the drip tips, I felt really good opening and using the kit. It comes with a retractable mini-usb cable and an iTazte branded USB wall plug. Everything in the kit seems to be very well manufactured. The fit and finish of everything was immaculate. No complaints there.
The batteries had nearly a full charge when they arrived, only thing I had to do was fill the clearomizer with liquid and vape away! The liquids I purchased are labeled as “tank crackers”, and the clearomizers are polycarbonate. This was a noob error, but I decided to wing it. For nearly two months I have been unsing these clearos with almost exclusively “tank crackers” and have not had a single tank crack yet. The tanks produce a warm vapor, a little on the weak side as far as flavor goes, but for $40USD, it can’t be beat.
The only cons I noticed is the single coil tanks don’t hold up quite as long as I would hope. A couple of weeks in I noticed a burnt taste occasionally, liquid levels didn’t seem to fix this. I have since switched to iClear 16 dual coils, which I will review later.
All-in-all, excellent bang for the buck. I feel like this was the missing link for me between nasty analogs and personal vaporizers, and it definitely helped me make the jump!
