I couldn't have said it better myself (regarding what Mudflap originally posted). The only thing I will actually pay for is AVE Hype or Sweet Tart. I won't even go into commenting about the rest of the stuff on the market, & the 10 new "juice vendors" opening shop everyday. I'm sick of someone thinking they have some awesome DIY juice so they decide to open shop at their kitchen table. Yeah........I'm not buying it. I'm also not gonna buy their germs, the germs of their kids, pets, etc.

There are flavoring companies. Every vendor uses the same ones. It's no secret to us. These flavoring companies do not only sell wholesale, they also sell to the individual. I say we all go the DIY route. Personally I use Natures Flavors for my DIY because I prefer a VG base. If any type of face to face sale thing comes into play we are gonna have to DIY anyway. Why not get started now making your own creations?

Tripp, thanks for posting this. I would LOVE to copy and paste it onto every ejuice vendor's forum except for AVE's of course.

If anyone wants to trade some DIY stuff, I'd be more than happy. For example, i've mastered 3 juices from a very popular & expensive PINK vendor & I make them all vg based with organic flavoring. I've also got other creations........but you know..........now i'm starting to sound like a vendor. lol

:::This is no joke, I have literally seen an ejuice vendor talk about having to pick up food at the food bank. This is a very sad situation, but instead of making juice at their kitchen table, maybe they could go out and look for a job..........::::

I've been vaping for... let me check my sig... Oh My God, one MONTH! And I haven't even celebrated! :) Evidently, the best thing about it is that I have also been off burned tobacco for the same amount of time. I smoked my last cigarette on the balcony and saw the mailman pulling in. Then I went down and picked my package. That was my last cigarette indeed.

My last pack, two thirds full, is in the exact same place I left it then, on a table, next to some new Listerine puff thing package. I used to use a lot of those so I didn't smell at work. The package is also unopened. That is the other best thing about it - there is no need to try and hide any smell. Because there is none. I still brush my teeth several times a day, but I guess that's healthy enough and, just like vaping, it is just another addiction I can live with. (And just like vaping, it contains PG :) )

I never had shortness of breath when I was smoking. I had occasional morning cough. That got worse, briefly, just like every other times I quit analogs before. It's normal. It means your bronchial epithelium comes back to life. But now I can not breathe much better. I love swimming, and I was beginning to notice it being more difficult to hold my breath underwater and even when only breathing every three strokes. Now I can, again, just like in childhood, swim a full length underwater :)

I quit smoking because my overall health was going down, and that included high blood pressure. My pressures are okay now, but that's confounding because I also started a low dose of medication for that. But my heart rate certainly improved (it was too high at rest, which in itself is a very strong indication of future risk of problems). This is also confounded by the fact that I exercise now, but I can exercise better because I don't smoke. So, there.

In the first few weeks I vaped like I smoked. I was very dependent on all sorts of triggers. I would go out to vape after a movie or a meal. I would actually go out, because I felt jittery and in need of going out. So I just did it. Now all that is gone. Gone is also the need to vape at regular intervals. I actually vape very little or not at all during the day. Sometimes I vape in the morning, but not always, and I certainly do not feel that crushing urge right after I open my eyes, like with cigarettes.

I vape a lot in the car, and I mainly vape at night while writing, watching TV or doing whatever. Visiting ECF is the only strong trigger to vape like crazy :) I find that when I vape, I like to keep vaping on and on. That's why now I'm going to try out the carto-tank setup, and at some point I'll get a Reo (I guess I'll wait for the VV Woodvil to kill two birds with one stone?) I also find that I never really get a craving to vape. I don't know if that means I am no longer as addicted to nicotine as I was. I'd like to think so, but I am not eager to try quitting vaping right now.

Interestingly, I find that I am overall calmer and more patient. I used to plan my workday around smoking escapes. And I would get antsy when stuff would come in the way of my plans. Yet, I used to think cigarettes were allowing me to be calm and patient, and, based on cold turkey precedents, I used to think quitting them would make me insufferable. However, at work or play, even when I'm really not vaping at all, I now am indeed calmer on the average.

All in all, I think I am significantly better off.

Delilah reminded me that it has been 2 years of "Reokins" on ECF. I may have told this story before, but it bears reminding that to stick to what you know is good... can have a great outcome.

When the 1st batch of ReoGrands came to pass, I was right here at ECF. Those who know me would say that it would not be a surprise that I had purchased 1 from the very 1st batch. And after, I called Robert as when I got it, the metal "Ring" that surrounded the threading was "Too High" for me to get my new adaptors on and off.

Robert said that he would cut down my ring, but asked me not to show it to people telling them that this is how the Mod was being sold. Of course, I still have that Mod and aside from telling this story here, I have kept my promise and have sent many friends to him over the past 2 years to get the "Standard" ring.

He was a bit upset that hardly any takers were buying this new custom wooded Mod. He asked if I thought the price was too high? I told him that it was set just right as this was the highest quality wood and took time to create.

Look 2 years later... and it all came true. The price was right and the people here at ECF love this Man and his Mods so much, that unless you get into a very long line, you will never be able to get his Mods. Hundreds of thousands of posts on the Reo thread and it has not let up... and I think will not for many years to come.

There always is a place in the market for quality and for a person who stands behind his product. Just about a year ago... when he was busy as can be, I wrote to him to ask if he could cut a hole in the door like his newer Mods had as I did not like using the screw that was on my original door. He would not charge me and that original door is here with the hole cut perfectly.

So, I wish him continued sucess and maybe one day, he will grow large enough so that I can purchase a 2nd Mod from him. I just seem to miss every time he has new Products made as the minute it goes up for sale, it is sold within seconds. You have to be "On your toes" to get this Man's Mods today... quite a long way from 2 years ago... but.. if you knew him then, it is no surprise the success he has become.

awe, i love you guys!!!! I've seriously never been part of a forum that was as awesome as this!!!
Della Cirque, & Delilah sure know how to pick out some cakes :) YUMMMMMM!

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes & sincere get well wishes.
My hip replacement was probably the most expensive birthday present i've ever got. Thank you Aetna, bhahahahahaha

Well, my "raised toilet seat" had to go like 3 days after I got home, because I hated it. I feel like i'm "carrying" my walker more than using it, & yesterday I decided that my "shower chair" was more of a hinderance than a help.

Today the physical therapist taught me an exercise that is "sort of" like "bird" in Yoga. I nailed that one :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then I'm sure ya'll met my Aunt "cw37013".........which i will further refer to as "cee dub" on ECF. She is my fabulous aunt that actually helped me get my start in travel nursing. Nashville was the first place I traveled because I wanted to make sure I had at least 'some' family around in case I got lonely. Anyways, she & her family are a total blast to hang out with & I'm glad that she took the step in buying a Reo :) I'll never forget when she first said "your mom says you are really into these electronic cigarette things, and i've been using one since December and it's the only thing that has kept me from smoking".....................it's all history from there. I sent her some Bobas, recommended the Reo, & I think she is all set. Now we've just gotta get her in line for the VV REO which is sure to be the greatest collaboration in vaping history ever~ Mike & Rob!!! CAN WE SAY ~DREAM COLLABORATION~????
ok, but they can't release the vv reo until i'm healed and back to work.......that is all. :)
vape happy!!!!!
I love you guys!!!!!
Or, as they commonly say on the vaping blog circuit, their a writer. Or there a writer. I've been reading a lot of vaping blogs recently and never have I shaken my head more at the number of people that can't use the English language properly. This would be fine if they were merely keeping their ignorance to themselves, but no, they insist on publishing their words on the internet for all to see.
There are numerous articles available that point to these errors, so I won't go into all of them here. A simple Google search for 10 common grammar mistakes will bring them up. The fact that the correct information is so readily accessed only makes it more frustrating that self-proclaimed writers continue to make the same errors over and over again. They need to return to 5th grade grammar classes before being presented with a keyboard.
I am going to rant about one particular error, however. Since some bloggers tend to be a preachy bunch, pontificating to the reader on a regular basis, I must bring up the difference between "your" and "you're". Not even mentioning that it is bad form to continually address the reading audience as "you", I am hoping they will please get it straight: If the words "you are" can be comfortably inserted into the sentence, then "you're" should be used. If the sentence is referring to something in the possessive, such as "your mother", then "your" is the correct word.
Let us all hope, for the sake of my sanity, that this word will spread amongst vaping bloggers everywhere.
In the long battle to separate vaping from smoking in the minds of those that do neither; I seem to have come up with a comparison that makes sense to people that see no difference between smoking and vaping. I have been off smokes and on PV's since July of '09, my first step in vaping at work was a no brainer... I simply kept my mouth shut and did it as stealth as possible. Unfortunately, it didn't take long before my smoking buddies wanted to know why I never went down to smoke with them anymore and even though I could have said I quit and let it at that, I felt somewhat obligated to introduce them to e-cigs so they could have a chance to switch too. It wasn't long before the office had several vapors and not long after that in which management noticed the lack of smoke breaks and started to look into the mass exoduses from smoking. As the smokers all talked about the new and amazing e-cig to the boss each of them pointed to me as the "knowledgeable" one on the subject and so I had to give the management a run down of the whole thing and was bombarded with Q & A's. This all went well, and it was looked at as a good thing and we were left alone to vape and work at our pleasure. Then the :censored: FDA put out that load of non-sense about anti-freeze (I'm sure you all remember and just gave a grimmest at the memory). The next day all hell broke lose and I spent the whole day gathering information to battle that non-sense but it was too late, the non-smokers in the office who had not even been able to smell a thing and had no ill effects and enjoyed the fact that none of us smelled like an ash tray, started the bitchy ball rolling and vaping in the office was treated the same as smoking and we were once again banished to the elements :rules:(or in most cases the bathrooms...lol). Then the news that all the concern was over hyped came out and the storm settled a bit, I took the time to start the fight to distance vaping from smoking again because at this point I was pretty much disgusted with the mis-information. After several years of politely and professionally voicing my opinion the CEO was in town and my chance to bring this all the way to the top was here. I had not known he would be in and had not prepared at all, I was just as shocked to see him as I was when he walked over to me and said "Well, give me a good reason why I should allow this vaping stuff in here and don't give me the usual it will cut down on smoke breaks non-sense either, I've heard that from everyone! I want to know how it differs from smoking!” And I said "Well sir, it differs in the same way beer does from soda, both products come in a can or a bottle, and both are consumed in the same manner. However, one we are free to drink at the office and one we are not. My point is that just because two things are done in similar ways does not make them the same thing". I am now sitting at my desk and vaping with full approval from the CEO of my company and so are several ex-smokers! I think we should all start to push the realization that vaping is not smoking and that other then the physical act of it; it can not be compared to smoking. As a matter of fact, I no longer consider it an addiction, it's simply a hobby of mine that I enjoy, and my doing it has no negative effects on anyone... other then Phillip Morris! ha-ha! :thumb:
On top of that, yesterday at about 9:30 am, I ripped my patch off...so I'm now going solo with vaping nico only. using about 24 mg.
I say about, because I'm thinking I'm going to dilute my juice down alittle bit. I don't know whether it was out of nervousness or not, but I think I vaped more than usual yesterday. My stomach got alittle crampy, so I'm wondering if I'm getting too much nico? Think I'll dilute down my juice alittle bit today and see if that makes a difference. Waiting on three different orders today! lol! Got to try and get to the mailbox before my hubby does so he dosen't find out I've ordered so much! ;) But I told him yesterday that I can see myself doing this for the rest of my life..even without nico in the ecig, I'll probably use it like an adult pacifier. lol! But I don't care because I actually love vaping! I'm addicted to it now! :p
So the orders that I've placed will help me get 'set-up' for my new vaping life.
I ordered an adapter for USB to wall, 2 amp, for my passthrough that's on it's way, and an adapter, so I can use the passthrough in the car, and a carrying case to use when I'm working on the farm. Realized yesterday that I probably should have ordered 2- 2amp adapters, but hopefully I can find another one at local Walmart or Radio Shack.
I have not smoked at all. By gingo I think I've got it now!! I'm DONE with cigarettes! And I'm very happy and proud of that fact! I have ordered an adapter for my V2 and will not plug it into my computer again. I don't understand how they can advertise these things as computer compatable, when you run the chance of blowing your computer up if you plug them in! Sounds like false advertising to me!! But I went ahead and ordered a plug in for my car, not that I'll use it very often, but on those occassions when I'm like driving to Va or we go on vacation...once in a blue moon...I can use it then. I've also ordered the adapter so I can use my 510 cartos on my V2 notebook. Wanting to go with ALL 510 threading. Once I've used up all the KR808's that V2 sent me, everything will be interchangable. Less hastle. So onward through Day 2 analog free we go! :):vapor:
Just got out of the hospital after having a total left hip replacement (right will come in April). I am gonna be off work for a month or more while i'm healing, so i'm near positive that I'm gonna go stir crazy during this time. So, I'd like to do something for the ever growing, super fabulous REO community.
I am able to knit a Reo Cozy. Here are pics my purple Reo Mini with cozy on it. I can also make them for the grands & I suppose woodviles & Mini Woods. I'll be making these for free of charge & i'll even pay for shipping. I can do just about any color that you want. Please PM me with your request & limit it to one per person. Please let me know if you have allergies to any type of fabric. The yarn i'll be using will be acrylic or wool. I also have a black lab that comes in the house sometimes. (& she does not get to lay on my super soft & cozy yarn stash)
I don't currently have a pic of a cozy on a grand, but I will Sunday sometime. So, I'll post them then. :)
