A Clean Atomizer is a Happy Atomizer

Just thought I might share something I found out about cleaning the AMG pro spec slant coil atomizers from Vapage. I have been stunned how well it works, even with old atties that I thought were history..even after several soakings in Vodka. Anyway, there is a caveat to this method. It uses isopropyl alcohol. If you are savvy and careful, it's not a problem. But if you tend to be careless and in a hurry it's not advised you try this, as you risk possible ingestion of the isopropyl. Just sayin'

  • 1. Blow out the slant coil atomizer(s) Always blow out from the battery end

    2. Rinse well in hot water. Dab dry. Blow out moisture.

    3. Put in a covered container of isopropyl and let sit between 1 hour to overnight, depending on the gunk factor of the attie.
    4. Remove from isopropyl and blow out.
    5. Rinse in hot water again and blow out.
    6. Put in isopropyl again for at least 30 minutes. Or longer.
    7. Remove from alcohol and wipe dry. Blow out.
    8. Put attie(s) on an absorbent towel or napkin
    9. LET DRY OVERNIGHT OR AT LEAST SEVERAL HOURS (to be SURE all the isopropyl is completely evaporated and gone)

    10. Prime atomizer and vape.

I am surprised as anybody that this works as well as it does. I've tried using PGA and Vodka...but it just doesn't work as well.
Proceed with this at your own discretion. As for me? I'm a believer,

(Note that if the atomizer has worn so much that the ohms have dropped significantly it's unlikely that you can "fix" that. The coil is, more than likely, getting close to burning out. You might get a little more life from the atomizer after cleaning, but it will be at the lower ohm, and may not be a level you like. YMMV.)
