Getting along with the Vmod Bottom Feeder (Part 2)

Here are some tips that have been gleaned throughout the various threads for the care and maintenance of the Vmod. These were mostly re-posted by tearose50 (thanks, Tea!).

FEEDING THE VMOD:
"Here are the initial instructions. The Vmod doesn't require more than a tap -- no big squeeze needed, though some prefer to do it that way. With the XL there are many successful methods people have developed.

Feeding:

1) invert device & wait for juice to fill the bottleneck on the fill bottle. You may even wiggle it a bit & look for the air bubbles.

2) turn upright & squeeze the bottle.
(You will hear the pocket of juice release into the chamber.)

3) dry pull a few times to fill the Hybrid or Silo with juice from the chamber.

4) Vape

5) when atty or carto gets dry, do a couple of dry pulls again.

6) when chamber is empty...see #1 "

CLEAN YER CONTACTS:.

Get a freshly charged battery.
Take a QTip, dip in strong ethanol or isopropanol,
i.e. PGA or 90%+ Isopropyl alcohol, or even 151
Proof alcohol. If you have it, use contact cleaner.
Vigorously clean:

1) The whole bottom battery contact spring
2) The bottom of the battery itself
3) The whole "switch" contraption up-top
4) Especially the bottom plate of the "switch" contraption
5) The top of the battery itself, especially all sides of any
battery-magnet stack

Now use a dry QTip or other devices to friction-clean
(w/out alcohol) the atomizer nest and the bottom of
the atomizer.

Reassemble and vape.
You will not believe the difference.

OH, THOSE O RINGS!

The "Vent-Stack" O-ring is the smaller one, here it is:
OD = 7.6mm , to find in store it would be more like 7.5mm
ID = 5.6mm, to find in store, it would be more like 5.5mm

OD= 11mm

Wall thickness= 1mm
One O-ring size is used for both applications

Sorry if i misunderstood. BTW he also said lubricating them with juice helps them last, they're getting a lot of them, and they're working on a different type of gasket.

Update: The new gaskets (o rings) are on all current vmods and are also available for purchase from Vapage. And, they are the same size for both the vmod2 and the XL.

Again, many thanks to tearose50 for digging this information up from older threads. I don't know who the original posters were who supplied the information, but many thanks go to them, too!

Thanks for your help with the battery cleaning. Currently I don't have any isopropyl alcohol. But I am going to buy some when I get my check. I think more reviewers should talk about battery safety. But unfortunately they don't. I think battery safety should be the biggest part of vaping. VAPE STRONG BRO AND GOD BLESS. Peace
