So, I've been in the process of moving this week and haven't had much time to think about writing a review, which I rather enjoy. So, tonight after a couple of loads and some more work on my homemade bed frame, I decided to sit down, put up my feet, and have a vape with some new flavors that came in this week.
After trying and not quite understanding the hype around Boba's Bounty, I decided to branch out and try some of their other juices: PG Hype and Root Beer. I ordered 12mg strength and am vaping these in Protanks with 2.5~ish attys on a ProVari around 4.2v.
AVE Root Beer:
I started vaping this last night because I was curious. Last night, it had a weird after taste, so here's the break down:
Color: Very light tint to it, and it almost looks unflavored juice.
Bouquet: It smells a bit spicier than real root beer and reminds me of a root beer candy. It probably has a very similar flavoring agent as the candy. Real root beer can have a bit of creaminess in the aroma, and I'm not getting that with the juice.
Taste: The first night with the juice, it weird after taste that seemed almost minty to me, but not quite minty like a mint. Just a hint in the background. But, the second day with it in the Protank, the weirdness of the after taste has gone away. It's got the spice and sweetness of a root beer candy but not the creaminess of real root beer. However, there is no mistaking that this is in fact root beer juice. Based on taste, I'm not sure if this is a re-order or not. It's got enough punch in the flavor department; I'm just not really a fan of root beer flavored juices.
Throat Hit: I have a hunch that this is higher in PG than what I normally get, but there really isn't much throat hit.
Vapor: I surprised with how much vapor this produces for a thinner juice with some definite PG in the mix.
Bottom Line: I'm iffy on this one. It has grown on me a bit in the process of writing this review, but if I never order this again, I don't think I'd be that upset with myself. However, AVE juices are rather affordable when they're open.
AVE PG Hype:
This is a peach flavor, and I want to like this; I really do. My first vape order ever included a bottle of peach from MyVaporStore, and I really liked it. It was actually the only one of the three that I got at the time that I did like. So, let's see how this stacks up to other peach flavors I've tried.
Color: A nice light, golden color to the juice. One could say it's almost peachy in color.
Bouquet: I can definitely smell the peach, but like the root beer, it reminds me of a peach type candy. It's not quite as strong in aroma as something like peach rings, but reminiscent for sure.
Taste: I'm not crazy about the taste. There's definitely a fake-ish taste to it, and the flavor just doesn't linger like other good juices I've had. Based on taste, I won't be reordering this one.
Throat Hit: For something with PG in the name, I was expecting more throat hit.
Vapor: For something with PG in the name, I was expecting puny clouds, but this actually has some good vapor production.
Bottom Line: For what it's worth, there is some flavor and some vapor, but all around, it just falls flat for me. The Poppin' Peach from Ahlusion has a much more balanced and realistic peach flavor to it, so whenever the peach mood strikes me, it'll be some other juice.
There you have it folks. This has been my experience with these juices. I also got Christy's Cappuccino in this order, and I should review that when I get a chance. Feel free to chime in with compliments, contradictions, good jokes, bad jokes, etc...
