How I started Vaping

Mid December, shortly after vocal practice. I decided to check out youtube. This is before I knew what vaping was. I was subscribed to my favorite vocalist, and I enjoyed the content he put out. He uploaded a video titled "Attention smokers, wanna quit? vape Setup".

I watched the video and immediately started doing my research. At the time, I was only able to find vendors in America. I thought about ordering a device, but I was hesitant to place an order. I admit, I've had a few worries. I was affraid that I wouldn't be getting my money's worth. I had the fear of potentially being allergic to the juices. I always wondered whether or not the company was legit.

I researched day after day, I was constantly overwhelmed with what was out there. I didn't know where to begin. I thought about getting the same setup that Phil Bozeman had. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the device he recommended. So I stopped researching.

A few months later, my boss brought in a box of those disposable ecigs you can find at gas stations. She gave each of the smokers a couple to try out, and let us use them at work. I thought the gesture was very considerate. The devices were pretty cheap, and had no nicotine. I didn't like it at all.

The following week, I was watching the 6pm news and they did a report on a Vape Shop called Fat Panda. They called it the first of it's kind in the city of Winnipeg. I thought it was awesome, then I face palmed. I couldn't believe that the shop was sitting right under my nose.

The payday of the following week, I decided I'd head into the city and check it out. When I arrived the place was closed. So I looked online for business hours. I showed up a bit too early, so I decided to hit up a few friends to kill some time.

When the shop finally opened. I tried to get my friends to come check it out with me, but they had other plans.

I entered the shop, unsure of what to say, and what to ask. I was amazed that there were so many people sitting in the lounge, blowing clouds of vapor. The shop was clouded, and it smelled sweet.

The staff were very supportive, they were also very informative. They helped me decide where to start, and what I could look forward to. I purchased a vision spinner, a couple of tanks, Fruit and tobacco juices. Thus, beginning my vaper journey.

If it wasn't for my idol, the news station, and the staff at the shop. I'd still be smoking analogs, dishing out several bills just to get a nicotine fix.

I've been smoke free since February 7th.
