Review of the Vivi Nova from SteamMonkey.com

I purchased this Vivi Nova a few days ago to add to my collection of Vivis, since I was washing them out and trying new juice frequently. I have a few from GotVapes, the version 2.5 ones to compare them with.

The version purchased from SteamMonkey.com is not a 'Vision' version, but a different version from a different supplier. The differences are as follows:

The bottom grommet that separates the positive and negative posts appears to be made from some kind of plastic, instead of some kind of rubber. Neither version has caused me any problems yet. This could be considered an improvement, although I think the Vision material has been improved as well.

The middle post is a tad bit longer.

The head itself is slightly different. There is no wrapper shielding to keep the coil away from the post. The wicks look a bit different, but are the same in number and length. The silicon+metal cap that goes over the head uses a similar design in function, but includes a cone-shaped part that seals with the top screw on cap to direct airflow.

The top cap has a ridge in it that seals properly with the head.

These head differences, combined with the length differences of the post and cap ridge make these heads, caps, and posts incompatible with the Vision Vivi Nova.

After using the tank for a few days now off and on, I don't notice anything negative about its construction. It doesn't leak, and it might even flood a little less than the Vision. I don't often notice it gurgling, and I lay it flat frequently. I think the cone-head might improve the seal a bit.

The tank appears to be made from the same material as the vision, and doesn't have a problem with the cinnamon I've tried. It got ate by some spearmint but that stuff eats everything in sight.

The one negative I could find is that the airflow direction actually increases the heat coming out of the tip. Depending on how you vape, and what you like, this might be a good or bad thing. It might also affect what voltage/wattage setting you want, or how your flavor vapes.

All in all, I would recommend these tanks. Their price is awesome, SteamMonkey.com's service is great, and Lance, the owner, is a very helpful vendor.

Lance also carries the Mini, and replacement heads in different ohms.
