Success with quitting analogs

I think PV's are a wonderful invention, truly remarkable. To me, they are an improvement to smoking, a technological advancement not unlike television compared to radio (in this comparison radio waves cause cancer). :p As I feel so strongly about this, it creates within me an obligation to assist anyone who shows even a slight curiosity towards my PV or vaping in general.
I'm not pushy, adamant, or obnoxious. My style is helpful, informative and generous. It's a serious, heart wrenching disappointment to have a loved one not take a liking to vaping. :(
I ask myself how is it that I can use and enjoy this product and nolonger desire a cigarette while my mother and my daughter still smoke?
Number one is somewhat obvious - the person must have a desire to quit smoking. Manna from heaven could not get a smoker to quit if they didn't first have a desire to do so. My smokers meet this requirement. Having failed previous attempts to stop smoking with various methods they were receptive to the idea of vaping.
Tried it, liked it, just won't stick with it. Don't care for it?, not interested?, I have no idea. Maybe they're too busy to learn how to vape?
Number two - committed to learning how to vape. More crucial than a desire to quit. A smoker with no desire to quit can stumble upon vaping, like the flavors, and make the switch. It's not just possible, it's probable.
My commitment to vaping was financial. I spent my cigarette money on a kit, so it was learn to vape or do without. So.. I learned to vape. I've used the savings to stock up on batteries and supplies. So my loved ones are getting a "free trial offer" and doing nothing with it. No financial commitment to learning how to vape. I told you my style was generous.
Number three - Support. Technical and emotional. Frustration with a finicky product while experiencing a nicotine craving while on your period.
The ECF and its members played a pivotal role in my being able to learn how to vape. It was a huge investment of my time to read through hundreds of posts. The members supported me without even knowing they were supporting me.
Desire to quit, committed to learn, support in place. I think you gotta have all three to successfully quit smoking.
