What does battery mah mean?

Batteries mah is measure of a battery's storage capacity. Mah stands for milliamperes per hour.
Generally you can calculate how much actual vape time you'll get from a battery by the mah of the battery.

So - a 320 mah battery should give you about 3 hours of vaping. A 650 mah would give about 6-6.5 hours, a 900 mah would give about 9 hours and so on.

The bigger the mah the longer the battery should last between charges. However, don't confuse the mah with the power for vaping. Two different batteries, both 900 mah, could be at different voltages - so the power outputs will be different.

In this picture the pv on the left is a Volt, 78mm long, and has 320 mah. The one on the right is an X2 and has 900 mah. Both are regulated at about 3.6-3.7 volts. The 900 mah lasts much longer between charges, but both batteries produce the same power in volts for vaping. Click on the pic for a bigger view:
