I have lots of used Kanger heads. I never throw them away because I know they are rebuildable! Do you know if the dripper Ahlusion sells is easy to rebuild, and a decent one? I'd rather start with something fairly inexpensive in case I have problems rebuilding, and theirs is only $22.
I have no idea on that one or what they sell...

As far as the Kanger heads go,I'd try rebuilding one...it's amazing how much confidence it builds...the top chimney post just wiggles off...then the center post on the bottom pulls right out...the white part is a rubber grommet that pulls right out too..when you put the coil back in the rubber goes over one end of the wire and pushes back in and then the center post...then you just trim the wires sticking out (I use nail clippers)
Center coil, Put top chimney back on, and trim the wick....

As for the coil itself...find something 1/16 diameter (drill bit, dowel, etc)...hold the bit between thumb and index finger and the wire laid across the top with about an inch or so above it and trapped between fingers as well...wrap down behind and around keeping pretty close and good tension...counting each time you come over the top...6 to 7 times (1.8 to 2.2ish ohms)...finish up and behind....cut that leg equal...you can then scrunch the coil on the bit or whatever and move the legs so they come out in the same direction....slide it off and thread some 2mm silica through like threading a needle (dampen the tip)...

Sounds complex but probably takes less than 5 minutes...
