Thank you. So the extraction process is the same ?

Which category seems to be more popular ? I generally do not like flavored tobaccos ( couple of exceptions, mild flu cured and tropical ). If i were to order two tobaccos from each category, which two do some of the tobacco aficionado's here consider a good representation of the categories ?

No. The aromatics are all CO2-extracted, and are very, very powerful. They taste like strong pipe tobaccos, and those that have complementary flavors are perfectly matched with those flavors; that is, the burley of Maple Burley is an ideal foil to its subtle and delicious maple sugar. Most of the non-aromatics are extracted using different methods, and use cavendish tobacco as a base. The tobacco in these is generally there as a platform for other flavors. The tobacco is not always the star.

All of the aros are excellent. I think a consensus of fans would be that the unflavored Blue Grass Burley and the English pipe blend Devil Dog!, along with Vurley (vanilla beans extracted with tobacco), would be excellent representatives. But they all have fans (and haters).

The non-aros range far and wide. Among those usually listed as favorites, Smooth Criminal and Caramel Wildwood probably get the biggest raves. For me, the coffee-infused tobacco JG Blend is also in that league.

The aros require no steeping at all. They are at their best fresh. For the non-aros, you may like them new, old or in-between. I don't vape Smooth C or JG till they're at least two months old. Others like them fresh, but those people are, of course, wrong Wrong WRONG.
