That's my ugly mug. Mark Linehan. I am a writer of poetry, stories and song lyrics. I strum a little rhythm guitar so I can sing my songs. I enjoy singing, but I hold no illusions. The most I've ever done was some karaoke hosting a while back and recoprded some songs in my friends recording studio for my own benefit. Some of these might still be online at LINEHAN if you have any interest in hearing some. They are not grammy winners by any stretch of the imagination. LOL I also have a small booklet of just some of my poems published using Self Publishing and Book Printing Solutions - Books, EBooks, Photo books and Calendars at Lulu.com just search for my name and there is a sample I think. I am married for 24 years and have two children. My son is 21 and special needs and my daughter is 13 going on 30 and really thinks she is the boss. Actually, when her mother isn't around to save me, I think she is the boss.
Well, since I love vaping. I love mod'ing. I love madvapes.com . and I love e-cigarette-forum.com I figured I can maybe be of some use to others as I delve into the world of e-cigarettes as somewhat of a fast learning noob. I want to share things as I go with others. Hopefully some of this will serve some king of a purpose possibly.
I guess in this first blog entry I should introduce myself and get you up to speed on what I have been up to with these e-cig's or e-ni's or whatever it is you like to call them. I call them E-NIC's because I don't like using the word cigarette, it brings up too many negative connotations along with it. People hear the word cigarette and generally start shaking their head no before you even explain word one about these miraculous devices. E-NIC's have most likely saved my life personally. I don't mean that figuratively either. I am disabled because of back and health problems. I just had a surgery a few months ago and need another one as soon as I man up and get it scheduled. Well I am supposed to be walking at least a half a mile a day when I can do it. I was smoking like a chimney because of a combination of depression from losing the ability to work, losing my job, losing my home, losing my motorcycles. I was up to almost 2 packs a day after quitting for years. I tried gum, patches and pills. Nothing was working. I was getting out of breath just trying to walk a half a mile because I had ballooned up to 6' tall and 250 pounds and when you walk with intense pain at almost every step, it becomes that much more of exertion working through the pain and the crappy breathing.
I have not smoked a real cigarette since I got my tornado e-cigarette in the mail. This was perfect! There had never been anything like this for me before. It had everything I needed to stop smoking cigarettes. Physical cigarette (the device), The nicotine (the e-juice), and best of all I think, THE SMOKE (the almost harmless vapor from atomizing the vegetable glycerine which the pharmacist assures me you could drink a bottle of and it would not harm you (Don't try this, I don't know if that is true or not haha). I say ALMOST HARMLESS because there is nicotine in some of the juices out there, and nicotine is addictive and in its pure form it can be poisonous through contact or ingestion. It is pretty harmless getting a few drops on you here and there if you are/were a smoker for the most part as you have a tolerance for nicotine and it would take a fairly good size accidental exposure/ingestion to make you sick.
Bottom Line. E-Cigarettes are making me breathe again. I am walking almost daily much easier now. I do not touch real cigarettes any more and don't feel the slightest urge to do so. I am saving a lot of money as my cigarettes were 8.50 a pack so almost 500 bucks a month on cigarettes, I couldn't come close to spending that on e-cig atomizers, batteries and juices if I wanted to!!!
I feel so much better now that I am vaping. Physically and Mentally. These e-cigarettes are a miracle. I am not going to give up my e-cigarettes without a fight either. No matter what they will not get me back. I can build my own mods now. I am currently researching atomizers as well and hope by the end of the year to have built my own fully functioning atomizer. Once I can make an atomizer on my own, they will not be able to prevent me from vaping ever. I have even been studying how to make homemade e-juice using pipe tobacco, snus or some other methods. Hopefully won't come to that. I am also making DIY juices with lots of flavors, but I am going to stockpile some juices with slowly declining nicotine strengths so if I have to, I can taper off my nicotine so easily with the E-Nic. Then I can vape just straight glycerine and flavor which you can buy anywhere.
So that is a bit about me and my e-nic theories and histories. I suppose I will post about my modding next. I have done a LITTLE so far, but a LOT is on the way soon!
